Also, let’s consider this the official spot to declare your interest in organizing some sort of fantasy football league through your buddies here at BR.
Also, if you won a league championship last year in a Rumblings league, please email me ASAP.
Also, honestly, this is a fantastic deal, and I encourage y’all to give it serious consideration.

Wait. We each have to pay $90?

If you want to set up a league and be a commissioner, either with people here at Rumblings or your own personal friends, you can choose to take advantage of this deal or not.

That’s just the commish, right? So we could split the fee between 10 or so teams?

If folks end up choosing this option, 10-team leagues are encouraged. And yes, that is an option.

$10 a person isn’t a bad price.

I should also add, Undee, that there is a “fees” option where commissioners can organize pools, league entry fees, and the like from each league member. We won’t be doing that for the official league – I play for fun – but it’s an option to consider, as I know a lot of people here have been interested in playing for money in the past.

Rumblings will have its own default league, consisting of myself and last year’s league winners (should they decide they want to lose to me).
I would suggest that anyone else wishing to take advantage of the CBSSports.com deal organize yourselves into ten-member groups and follow the suggestion Undee outlined.
As for the way we organized previous Rumblings fantasy leagues, that’s not happening anymore. silverstreak3k, thanks for this post, because even if y’all decide to have a fantasy league on a different platform, I certainly hope it’s with Rumblers. :)

yea, i remember we tried to do a fleaflicker type league
but i lost interest because it had a terrible setup, and my main league was in yahoo. i plan on being in the one that i have been in for years, and making this other one for a rumbling type league. i just dont see the need in paying (sorry cbs) i play for fun and when there are so many leagues that are free, thats where i will go.

if you are doing a yahoo league I’d be in

I’d also be interested.
SFC: Were you excited about Clausen dropping to the Bills pick? Or did you have a feeling that the Bills wouldn’t pick him anyway?
Galliford: Both, like when that hot chick waves at someone she knows standing behind you.
Same here. I run my league on yahoo and it’s good enough for me. I don’t see the point in paying either if you can get it for free. If you need another player let me know.
If you pay in 10 dollars to a ten-team league
You can win 100 when you win the championship. I did it last year. The key is to get nine opponents that don’t know the NFL in and out like a lot of Rumblers do. :)

I better be in the RPL again, and this year I hope I can take part in the draft. You will all be in trouble if that is the case…

I agree, and would like to be included in someones league
The past is fixed, the future is unknown, try dealing with the present!
I’m actually with you on this. We did fleaflicker here last year and as far as I could tell, it was free. Yahoo is free, and I rather enjoy yahoo’s offering.
If I have to pay this year, it will be the first time ever. I tend to like when no money is involved because then people aren’t so do-or-die with each other.

So for us newbies
is there no way for us freshmen to play with you fine people of the Buffalo Rumblings? I’m not sure I follow what this post is all about, other than an advertisement for CBS fantasy venue. How it this the same (or different) from year’s past. Could someone who has played here before give me a little history? Did you all share a Buffalo Rumblings league last year? And specifically, was it a pay league in year’s past?
Sorry for the confusion, but With so many leagues with free customizations and options I just want to know what the history is.
you can definitely play
Last year there were 6 leagues I believe, on Fleaflicker.
This post is offering CBS Sportsline fantasy football at a discount. If you don’t want to use that site, I’m sure someone will be putting together a league on another platform (yahoo, ESPN, etc).
I think this will be the 4th year of Rumblings fantasy leagues. The first two years, there was only one league.
No pay leagues before, but there is interest in at least one. Just let your interest be known and I’m sure you can be a part of one that forms.

would certainly be interested as well
it is difficult to find people who are dilligent enough to care to play the league, and it would be fun to play with individuals i know to be true fans.

Would love to play in a newbie league...or at least get some tips..
I’ve always thought about playing, but I have never really jumped in to it. Would love to join some fellow rumblers even if I have no real idea what the hell I’m doing. Could make my inevitable failing less painful.
Sometimes newbies fair very well their rookie season.

It’s complete luck. Like the year I drafted Brady where he went down in week 1. That’s luck for the rest of the league. Or last year when I drafted Peterson #1 overall and he took a big backseat to Brett Favre’s Minnesota Magic. That’s luck for everyone else.

You drafted Peterson wanting a bigger year than 1,400 yards and 18 TDs? No bad luck with that pick.

I`m interested!!!
played two years ago and missed last years……who do we have to let know that we are interested?
