Everybody Hates Chris.... I mean the Bills

Is anybody else sick of all the people hating on the Bills all offseason? I know they're not exactly in early 90's form, but they are also not as bad as I keep hearing they are.

As a sports-news fanatic who spends waaaay too much time at work on ESPN.com, SI.com, this site, etc..., I have probably read every article regarding all things Buffalo Bills this offseason, and its not exactly been a fun experiance.

Everywhere I go I'm confronted with statements calling the Bills 'devoid of talent' or predicting a last place finish and subsequent first overall pick.  When did the Bills become the Lions of 5 years ago?  How can a team be "devoid of talent" when every investigation into the recent draft classes reveals some pretty solid, if not occasionally misguided, and at the very least average selections; definitely nothing even comparable to Millen's 9 straight 1st round WRs.

I'm not delirious; I do watch the games; and I recognize that its been a bit of a chore to watch the ineptitude that has exemplified their offensive production the last few years.  But their worst record has been 6-10.  They were 2-4 in the division last year, and should have been 3-3 if it wasnt for a fluke.  They essentially beat each of their divisional foes last year, considered a train-wreck by pretty much everyone.  That season is one huge laundry list of all the things that make a team fail: injuries on the offensive line, actually injuries everywhere, suspended star running back, unexplained (and downright idiodic) coaching turnover right before the season, awful run defense... etc.

How can this team be worse than that one?  I dont see anything that makes me believe the offense will be worse.  In fact, it looks improved in most areas.   The one area that concerned me was the front 7 of the defense, partially due to the 3-4 transition, and what area has had more focus placed on it by the personnel dept.?  The run defense was the most atrocious element of the Bills, and they have done everything they can to fix that.  Why does the fact that not much changed on offense mean they are worse?

Maybe I'm blinded by fandom, but when you stack this team next to last years, I see a better product.  And finally, I refuse to subscribe to the theory that the other 3 have gotten so much better this offseason that the Bills have been left in the dust.  Whats the last blockbuster move Bill Polian made with the Colts during an offseason?  Last time I checked, his team hasn't been left behind.

Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.
