Bills insiders maintain that Edwards must win the starting job or else he’s not going to make the team, and the latter sure seems the most likely outcome.
Former Colts back Chad Simpson, who figures in the mix at return specialist, will be given every chance to take Lynch’s #3 RB job.

The Chad Simpson thing makes no sense. If Buffalo didn’t consider Lynch to be a really good player, they would have traded him. Why keep him, only to cut him if Chad Simpson has a good camp.
I’m completely fine with the Bills cutting Trent. It’s the last year of his deal, so if he doesn’t win the starting job, there’s no point in keeping him around.
SFC: Were you excited about Clausen dropping to the Bills pick? Or did you have a feeling that the Bills wouldn’t pick him anyway?
Galliford: Both, like when that hot chick waves at someone she knows standing behind you.
Neither of these makes any sense to me. Ok fine maybe the Edwards one, but Chad Simpson replacing Marshawn Lynch is just nuts. It would do nothing but hurt the team. Especially considering that teams have offered us picks for Lynch, just not what Nix thinks Lynch is worth.
As for Edwards, releasing him would serve absolutly no positive purpose to this team unless he is drasticly outplayed in the pre-season. I mean even if he loses the starting job to lets say Fitzy, I doubt that he wouldn’t at least be considered the second stringer. And considering the injry issues that this team has had in the past he would even have value as the team’s third stringer. I just don’t see him being released.
Dear God,
If we give you Justin Bieber, can you please give us back Kurt Cobain?

Whoever wrote that is clueless

It is Brohm’s Bills jersey that is the least stained with doo-doo... GO BILLS
Common Killascript you know how journalists are. If they can’t find something new they just dig up something old, lightly forgotten, but still rellevent and try to take cradit for it.

Chad Simpson will be given every chance to stick on the team as a special teams specialist. And by every I mean a slight one.
Edwards ain’t getting cut. The only way that’s happening is if both Fitzpatrick and Brohm are heads and shoulders above him and at least one of them is dominant in the preseason. (And does anyone see that actually happening?) A.) He’s cheap. B.) Fitzpatrick for what he brings, in comparison, isn’t. C.) No way do they go into the season with Brohm as the only backup on the roster. (I’m going to discount Levi Brown right now as a complete and total project for the time being.)
It doesnt matter.....
When Lynch said “We are All Gonna Ball” He ment Freddie is gonna be the new Bills QB….Lynch and Spiller are gonna be the RB’s in the Backfield and and Chad Simpson is gonna be #32 as a return specialist!
Nobody Circles the Wagon's, Like the Buffalo Bills!!
I disagreed with a lot of this guys analysis
- He doesn’t even mention George Wilson when discussing the secondary despite talking about how Bryan Scott outplayed Whitner and the Bills have to make a tough call between Whitner and Scott.
- He dismisses Jamon Meredith as a guy fighting for a roster spot when I think hes a guy fighting for a starting spot.
- He says Geoff Hangartner is the most “reliable cog” of our offensive line but then seems to imply that this goes beyond the fact that he stayed healthy and has to do with level of play by calling Wood and Levitre guys with “decent promise but some caveats”
- He puts down Steve Johnson as a guy the team “had high hopes” for but who has struggled adjusting to the NFL. Doesn’t seem like a fair statement to me considering Steve has barely played and when he has he’s made an impact, even if only 12 times. Thats more indicative of poor coaching if you ask me.
- I just can’t see Chad Simpson pushing Marshawn off the roster.
- Why does he dismiss Trent as a guy who never made it when hes in his third year but Brohm still has a chance to develop when hes in his 2nd?
All in all, not too bad but off on a lot in my opinion
