Kelsay expecting to play – Inside The Bills
"I’m expecting to play as much as they expect out of me," he said. "Health wise, I feel great. I’m in good shape. So, neither of those two issues are a concern for the team. [They’re more of a concern] for them. So, the rest of the guys, the guys that play a lot – the guys are playing for week one [of the regular season] – when they tell us enough is enough, that’s when we come off the field. Until then, I plan on playing as long as I can."
Brohm has to face the pressure – Inside The Bills
"I’m excited to be on the field. I’m excited to get out there with the first live action of the season for me. And I’m looking forward to it, Brohm said. "I’ve just got to go out there with the attitude that any opportunity I have I’ve got to make the most of it."

"Brohm is scheduled to get the majority of the snaps as the No. 2 quarterback when the Bills face the Indianapolis Colts in the second exhibition game of the summer at the Rogers Centre. If Brohm has any chance to weaken Trent Edwards' hold on the starting job, he needs to have a good showing."
Gailey looking for Buffalo Bills to grow tonight | Democrat and Chronicle
"Of course we wanted to get off on a good note, but we didn't," Spiller said. "We've got to move forward. It's the next game and you can't keep dwelling on what happened last week. The only thing we can do is correct the mistakes and move forward. I think that's the mood of the team. We understand what it takes. We did a lot of things good Friday, but we just did a couple of things bad that cost us. I think we will get that corrected."
For Bills, nowhere to go but up - Finger Lakes Times Online - Sports

Who spells Byrd? – Inside The Bills
"The safety that’s been running 2nd string in camp is George Wilson so logic would say he would slide into the starting role in Byrd’s absence. How could anyone gamble on preseason… must just be the addicts.
On a side note: How many more games do we have left in Toronto? Is it this year and 2 more over the next two years? It feels like we’ve been doing this forever. Its a freakin shame that we really had to do this. How embarrassing that this game (well the regular season anyways) would be sold out and The Ralph would be rockin… but no Buffalo gets to play in a half-filled stadium… half the people there arent Bills fans… and we as fans essentially lose a home game. I know its been said many times by many different people… but there is no way this will ever go down as a good idea. I hope after the contract is up for this Bills in Toronto Series they completely forget about it and get 8 games a year back in OP, where they belong.
Where else would you rather be?
Once this game is complete there are 4 more games.

And it’s an amazingly super awesome success in terms of the bottom line for the Bills.

Bottom line being $$?
I know it brought in a ton of cash… but as a fan, I hate it. Cant stand that fact that we only have 7 home games a year.
Where else would you rather be?
Yes in terms of cash. The Bills make way more money off one game of the Toronto series than a game at the Ralph.

maybe they just wanted to prove
that Toronto is not a viable NFL market and that anyone who thinks that the Bills should move there is delusional
Great article on the Bills in Toronto series
There is a lot of valuable information in this article.
It’s unfortunate that he depicts the Bills poorly here and that somehow the Bills are somehow responsible for this fiasco. Because in fact if what Rodgers wanted was the NFL in Toronto then that’s what he should have done, convince the NFL to hold games in Toronto. But it was easier to convince a small market team by flashing big bucks in their face. I am quite proud of Russ for standing up to them and holding firm on the name. Because what this writer fails to acknowledge is that Toronto is our extended home, we are sacrificing home field advantage to be here so OBVIOUSLY we are going to want to call it the Bills in Toronto series!
He makes a great point about how starting with a Preseason game was a very bad kickoff to the series. And ultimately, he should have outlined the fact that the series has failed mainly and largely because of their greed and they really have nobody else to blame. Fortunately for us, this bodes well for keeping the Bills in Buffalo. Unfortunately, I think the series is not helping to create new fans in the Toronto area, it’s actually probably the reverse that is happenening.

Yes. Rogers wanted it more than the Bills did, I’m sure. I doubt the Bills approached Rogers and said “hey pay us this much money and we’ll come up for a few years.”

I’m not quite sure what you are trying to say here… I do believe that Russ approached them but for different reasons. Both OBD and the Rodgers groups had motives they just weren’t the same ones!
Unfortunately for Rodgers they tried to be way too greedy and they did not treat and promote this series like Buffalo Bills home games – at least not to the extent they should have. Greed is ultimately what killed this series not the fact that the Bills weren’t very good. Actually had Rodgers been smart they could have found a way to use it to their advantage, Torontonians are renown for the unconditional support of their beloved Maple Leafs (who in so many ways ressemble the Bills), so it’s not really a stretch to think that a smart marketing guy could have found a way to use that angle
