My first rambling at rumblings. I think we had a good look Thursday night at what Gailey's Buffalo offense will look like. When hired he talked about the need to establish a running game which sets up the passing game. The Evans TD was a classic example of this philosophy. And given the QB situation in Buffalo, that philosophy is even more imperative. However, despite the lack of confidence many have in Edwards, he is good enough to run a Gailey-led offense that can average 20 points per game, which can win a lot of games if you have a very good defense and special teams. I think the offense will do its part this year, moving from the bottom to somewhere in the middle, statistically.
On the other side of the ball, I was very optimistic that the defense would be better than last year, but am now thinking they will have some growing pains in the transition to the 3-4 and the learning curve of a new D coordinator.
