TEs
Another injury at the tight end position and Shawn Nelson getting suspended for four games I was wondering if they will pick up another tight end to fill the spots. On their current roster they only have two healthy tight end and I think they need one more to keep us in depth at the position. I was looking at some free agents when I saw that L.J Smith from the Baltimore Ravens was a free agent and no one has picked him up yet. As I think of what I can remember about him is that he was pretty good catching tight end and had more speed than most tight ends. I think he could help us a lot in filling the spot but I'm not sure.
Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.

I'm not too familiar with Smith
It just seems to me that the Bills can still contend with what they have, and before you know it Nelson will be back. Although, if you had mentioned that Smith was a great Blocking TE, I might change my mind. It seems we haven’t had one in a while.

Mike Gaines is available
a) he is a great blocker
b) he can catch very well short and intermediate routes

Certainly not worse than Royals…
If LJ Smith is healthy I would be down for signing him. Its not like he’d be in a lot… plus after Nelsons back he might be released anyways. He wasnt too bad back in his prime with Philly… low risk deal if we go after him.
Where else would you rather be?
Is comparing someone’s catching skills to Robert Royal really a fair comparison though?
Is it hockey season yet?

Smith
In Philly, Smith was known as a frustrating player who made gaffes at crucial moments. Fumbles, drops, and penalties derailed a promising career in a heavy passing offense. If healthy, he could help Buffalo while Nelson is out, but I suspect he’s hurt if he’s not in a camp yet.

The player I would like least at #9 would be my sister’s cat, Captain Creamsicle. She does have a great work ethic and agility, but I’m really concerned that at 9 lbs., she’s too small to play safety in the NFL. She also bites way too often on play action and is easily distracted by someone waving string in the crowd. Lastly, her wonderlic score was pretty awful, answering "meow meow meow" for most of the questions- Dr. Brackish Okun
He did. He also played for the Georgia Institute of Technology.
