Modest optimism? Or delusional insanity?

So in my daily wanderings around football related . . . anything. I decided to take a look at 2011 mock drafts and see where the bill were ending up and with whom they were given. After about a dozen sites it became clear that no one believes we can be out of the bottom three in the league. My question is this: Do we raise our own level of expectations by ruminating on our players during the off-season? Are we actually convinced that because the bulk of us who read this site diligently know who our 4th and 5th stringers are, that they are going to all play to their potential? I am glad that Brian is circumspect in his opinions and insights. But if every prognosticator out there has us ranked in the 30’s, shouldn’t we be seeing it too? I love the Bills! Do or die every year and I’ll never stop loving them, but I wonder if our psychology as Bills fans sometimes stymies our realism as it pertains to this team.

Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.
