Bills set with Edwards as starting QB - NFL - Sporting News
"I’ve always thought Edwards had the ability to have success in this league," said NFL.com analyst Gil Brandt, former longtime Cowboys VP of player personnel. "He just hasn’t been able to stay healthy, going back to college."
Things I think I think - MMQB - Peter King - SI.com
"I think those C.J. Spiller highlights make me hope, for the Bills' sake, that he can play more than the part-time role his history says he should play. At Clemson, Spiller rarely lugged it 20 times a game, and with the punishment he'll take in the NFL, it's unrealistic to expect he'll approach that workload. But he's getting a good shot with Marshawn Lynch and Fred Jackson out of the lineup in Buffalo. If he could have 225 injury-free touches this year, Buffalo fans should be grateful."

Bills-Bengals
Bills-Bengals: Instant Thoughts | WIVB.com | Blogs
"Overall, I’m still not adding to the 5-6 wins I expect from the Bills. But I think that Gailey will get the most out of what he has, which means there will be a few upsets and games won by coaching. The talent isn’t there yet, but when it is, it should be fun to watch."

Bills/Bengals Preseason Review | BuffaloSportsNow.com
"Ralph Wilson Stadium opened for business last night, and Bills fans were treated to an offensive show. The Bengals came in boasting a load of talent on offense, and they didn't disappoint. Surprisingly, neither did the Bills first team O."
Nelson making case for roster spot - BuffaloBills.com
"Many players have used preseason game action to stake their claim to a roster spot. One of the younger players that has consistently done more with less is emerging rookie wide receiver David Nelson."
Patience pays off for Bills' Parrish - The Buffalo News
"But since arriving as the Bills' head coach, Chan Gailey has insisted that Parrish will be a focal point of the offense. Saturday night offered a glimpse of how much Parrish will be involved."

Bob Matthews | Democrat and Chronicle
"Sure, it would've been nice if the Buffalo Bills had used the No. 9 overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft on the best available offensive tackle or defensive end, but how many Bills faithful still think taking running back C.J. Spiller was a luxury the team couldn't afford?"

I really like the way Gailey's used McIntyre in preseason.
He has more to offer, especially as an unlikely screen option.

the screen play he ran for him against cincy was pure genius. mcintyre looked like a bowling ball with dismembered fingers sticking out of it rolling down the field.

I noticed he was getting a good deal of those passes in camp. I like what he brings to the table.

Agreed
Fun to see the FB be used in an offense. A very underrated piece and when utilized can be pretty powerful. McIntyre proved last preseason and this one that he can tote the ball too.
Fear the Grier!!!!
The last game of the year, he also handled himself fairly well.

“unlikely screen option”
Be careful what you wish for – McIntyre was the unlikely screen option J.P. was supposed to throw to in the disaster against the Jets in 2008.
All kidding aside, I do enjoy watching Gailely’s gameplan unfold on offense.

I clike Gil Brandt as an analyst
So hear him saying he thinks Edwards can get it done is a positive for me.
The player I would like least at #9 would be my sister’s cat, Captain Creamsicle. She does have a great work ethic and agility, but I’m really concerned that at 9 lbs., she’s too small to play safety in the NFL. She also bites way too often on play action and is easily distracted by someone waving string in the crowd. Lastly, her wonderlic score was pretty awful, answering "meow meow meow" for most of the questions- Dr. Brackish Okun
Spiller
As a non-Bills fan, CJ Spiller was my favorite RB in the draft, and while I’ve seen some highlights and heard that your other RBs are injured, I’m wondering to what extent you Bills fans see Spiller being exploited by your offense. As a Denver fan I know next to nothing about the current state of the Bills franchise, but on a whim snagged CJ Spiller in my fantasy league for $1, figuring the potential I saw in him coming out of college would be worth the low risk/reward ratio should he have a breakout rookie year.
The draft was on Saturday and that night was nothing but Spiller highlights on ESPN and NFL Network, so I figured I’d look into him a bit more.
What all would your verdict be as hard core Buffalo fans?
You’re going to like Spiller at that price. Mark him down for 15ish touches per game and at least 8 TDs.
