Poz, McKelvin, or Mitchell
Paul Posluszny, Leodis McKelvin, and Kawika Mitchell all started the year very well last year until they got injured and could not play the rest of the season. Now I'm wondering who will have a bigger impact this year if they stay healthy, which seems hard for them to do.
Poz- An explosive tackler and good run stopper, also very good at pass defense. He is very quick to get to the spots he need to get to and do his job. He will most likely end up at the starting MLB position, but the problem with him is that he can't stay healthy for the whole year, it happened in 2008 and it happened again in 2009, lets hope he stays healthy.
McKelvin- Very good kick returner and CB he's very fast and good at man coverage. He is still battling for the #2 CB position with Drayton Florence and if he dosn't get that job he will get a job in the nickle. The only problem with him is he never comes up big in key times and he might not get to start.
Mitchell- He is a good zone MLB he gets a lot of interceptions in big times for the bills and it helps them when he does that, he is also good at getting the tackling and stopping the run. The only problem with him his is the same as Poz, as he can't stay healthy enough to last the whole year.
So that is what I think about the Bill's defensive injuries that hurt them last year and some problems they have this year in getting better at defense and especially now that they are switching defenses this year. It will be nice to see these three have a good year without getting injured after a couple weeks and can't complete the 2010 season off the IR.
Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.

Seems like you still don't understand the concept of a mind dump.
As for this fanpost. Poz all the way! I expect him to skyrocket into superstardum this year, especially since he should theoretically have more room to run around in this year. i expect to see 140 tackles, 2 sacks, 3 ff, 3 fr and 2 INTs minimum this year. Oh and a Pro-Bowl.

agreed on Poz.....the guy was made for this defense and will be a force if he can stay health.

Nobody is arguing that
It was just a suggestion, which I believe came from Brian as an unwritten rule so to speak, which shows a degree of consideration to the other posters here.

Kid, you’re pretty holier-than-thou for a newbie. We’re allowed to suggest something to you without you acting like an uppity prick, and I’m allowed to be irritated when you don’t even consider the suggestion. When you’ve got 5 of the last 8 FanPosts up, you’re clogging up the section. This is not a message board.

well im just saying I like doing fanposts and everytime I do one someone complains so I guesse I’ll stop.
Season to BILLieve!
We like your FanPosts, too. We’re just suggesting combining them all into one to save space. That’s all. Why is that such a problem?

It’s not a problem but I do I undertsand what your saying im just wondering why it matters if I’m like the only one it seems that does them, and every time I do it I try to make them longer then people have to say something
Season to BILLieve!
Your most recent ones have been much better. Sometimes it’s off-putting to see the FanPost section (or a message board) dominated by one user for new people contemplating joining, that’s all.

I will do one tonight then I wont for the next three days. Sound good? and i might not even do one tonight, we’ll see.

I’m not looking to regulate you. You know where I stand, and I trust you to do what you want. :)

It may not be that you’re the only one submitting them, but when you submit so many, it grows difficult for other to get on the board.
I know when I first joined, I was hesitant to post anything, even in the comments section. Sometimes it’s nice to compile things you want to say in WORD; store them for a day or three, then revisit them to see if the content is still a good topic—or maybe have thoughts you can add to it, making it a stronger post.

The posters on here do such a great job that they always beat me to the punch. Its like some of them are reading my mind. That’s why I have not yet put up a post.

What McKelvin have you watched?!?
Very good CB?
Good at man coverage?
He’s been pretty bad thus far in his career, but the potential is there for him to be one of the best in the NFL. He needs to harness some of that potential and turn it into actual production this year. I think he’ll have his moments this year where he’ll be very good. Unfortunately, I believe he’ll make a bunch of mistakes as well….

"As the governor of Louisiana once said, the only way Chris Kelsay can lose his job is if he got caught in bed with a dead girl or a live boy."
I’m really beginning to wonder about his potential. Tim Graham’s recent piece on him was an eye-opener for me. Graham pointed out that McKelvin has a serious problem keeping focused. It’’s so bad that he can be in the middle of a conversation with his position coach and suddenly go off into dreamland. That’s a major disability in a CB, where staying focsed every second is imperative. McKelvin also has a lot of trouble with risk-taking — he takes a lot of bad ones — and with learning the playbook. Putting it all together one gets the impression that he may be quite gifted physically, but is significantly lacking in the mental side of the game. You can get away with that in college, but not the NFL. I’m in favor of trading him — and fast.
simple answer
McKelvin and I’ll tell you why:
I love Poz but the question was who will have the most impact this year and Paul is changing positions and I highly doubt he’ll be that much of an impact player in his transition year, not to say that he won’t transition well and be poised for 2011.
McKelvin is not changing positions and this is the year that he breaks out. He’s a high first rounder that has shown glimpses and NEEDS to prove why the Bills picked him. I see Leo making a splash this year.
Rebuilding a team properly takes time and patience
I wish this was a given.

Paully P
For a number of reason but I will keep it short and sweet when a guy puts up 100 tackles in not a full season and in a tampa 2 where he sees alot of o lineman thats an outstanding year, If Ray Lewis had been in a tampa 2 his whole career his numbers would be drastically different lets just say that.
2.) Because in all honesty this guy is the face of this defense without him they are not the same hes the best run defender on the roster and extremley good pass defender for a lb and come from a great line backing pedigree Penn State.
I love him as a football player as you can tell by my screen name, I have his away jersey, hes what gets me excitied about watching the Bills because hes an absolute killer and this is going to be the year he shows the NFL why he should be recognized as one of the best LB’s in football. Being a former ILB myself i have come to truly appreciate what he does in my mind there are only about 3 or 4 better then him in the NFL ( Willis,Lewis,Urlacher and maybe Bart Scott but Bartty boy has alot more help then Paully P does)
p.s. When you watch week 1 this year if Paully is in the lineup watch how quickly he gets from sideline to sideline its incredible, Ray Ray is the only LB i have seen do it faster and that when he was in his prime, Paully does have 1 weakness though he is a terrible blitzer up the gut he has great instincts on stunts but he is awful at timeing snaps and slithering through the 0 or 1 gaps but aside from that hes incredible.
I agree with you brother……. when he blitzes……… he disappears into the offensive line.
Poz is my boy but he needs to work on that.

Good post. In short I voted Poz. The MLB position is so crucial in the 3-4. I feel Poz is a rare talent that still has so much potential.
Keepin' the faith!
Poz
Like some have already stated, it seems 3-4 is working towards Poz’s strengths. With hopefully Troup and co. clogging the middle Poz will make plays.
Home of "Spiller the Thriller"
Disagree with your statements on all three
Leodis is not a good cover guy, Poz is not a good pass defender and Mitchell does not get a lot of interceptions.
