What are we doing with Lynch/Jackson?
The Bills can't possibly think we need 3 starting running backs. The idea that it is in case of injury is ridiculous, that's why you have 2 in case one gets hurt. Triplex redundancy is for aircraft, not football teams. Regardless, we must think their value is not yet maximized on the trade market. If I were Nix/Gailey, this is how you I would improve their value.
Being that GB is the most likely suitor for a more proven back, and the fact that we happen to play them this week my idea revolves around this option only. Only play GB to defend the run, single cover the wideouts. If we focus on the run only we can make Brandon Jackson look really bad. If he can't run on the Bills who can he run on? They'll be dying to take someone off our hands to keep their superbowl hopes alive.
Since Lynch and Jackson are in town we just simply leave the one they want and take their second round pick. My personal preference would be to leave Jackson, as He takes more carries away from Spiller than Marshawn.
Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.

Yeah but, the GM of the Packers does not make splashy trades.
However, his back is against the wall now. I would certainly hope that if I was Buddy, I would send them Freddy (cause he is a great multipurpose back for the Packers, and we send him because he is getting old). Get a 2nd or get a 3rd and Hawk and call it a day.
We keep Lynch and CJ and are a better team for it.
Done deal.
But Green Bay won’t play. IMHO.

You know he’s due like 11 million next year right? Or maybe this year, either way he’s got a lot of coin coming.
The player I would like least at #9 would be my sister’s cat, Captain Creamsicle. She does have a great work ethic and agility, but I’m really concerned that at 9 lbs., she’s too small to play safety in the NFL. She also bites way too often on play action and is easily distracted by someone waving string in the crowd. Lastly, her wonderlic score was pretty awful, answering "meow meow meow" for most of the questions- Dr. Brackish Okun

Well, as they’ve said exactly that multiple times, yes, they CAN possibly think that. You don’t have to agree with it, but it’s most definitely possible.

Of Course it is possible!
They could think they need four starters. But it is likely not probable that they really think they need three. If they do then we likely will never leave the mess we are in. Every team plays with the same cap. And having 3 starting running backs means that more cap money is sitting on the bench than is necessary. Thats why you don’t see many teams carrying 2 good quarterbacks and in many cases not even 2 good running backs. You have to spend the cap on starters. Not doing so means you have more depth and can survive injuries better. But who cares if you start a less talented team. Starters see the most playing time you need them to be better, they win games.

No cap this year, so it doesn’t really matter this season.
