Bills Won't Dress Spiller For Preseason Finale
If you were anticipating one last evening of C.J. Spiller dominance in a meaningless football game, it appears you're out of luck. BuffaloBills.com is reporting that Bills head coach Chan Gailey has chosen to sit Spiller out of this one in order to keep him healthy for the regular season opener.
Marshawn Lynch will get the start at running back, and when he's done, Chad Simpson, Joique Bell and Andre Anderson will finish out the game. Fred Jackson is inactive as he continues to recover from a broken hand.
Our GameThread for tonight's finale will launch simultaneously with the kickoff, slated for 6:30 PM. Join us!

Good call ... but
Seems like a good move. But does reduce my number of reasons to stay awake for a game that starts 30 minutes after midnight.
Good plan, Chan! Now, is there a way to keep the rest of the team off the field so they won’t get injured either?
Is it hockey season yet?

Good call,
Lynch needs some time and no need to risk injury with Spilla’ he has proved he is ready.

I know this isn't a huge deal,
but I like the way Gailey thinks more and more. I love a coach that is a step ahead, and then you say “yeah that is a smart move” about something you weren’t necessarily thinking about yourself.
Hey!
I was talking about this yesterday. That means I’m one step ahead of Chan, though some might say Dick Jauron was too….so yikes! Nevermind that!
Its a smart move. Hope others sit too….
