Players we wanted....
This interested me and I wasn't sure where to put it. Not sure if it's worthy of a fanpost but here goes.....
There are quite a few players out there who us Rumblers were all over during the last draft or 2 (and some in free agency) that have been cut: (I do realise some will be Practice Squaded)
QB - Troy Smith - Ravens
QB - Dan LeFavour - Bears
QB - Jevan Snead - Buccs
OT - Selvish Capers - Redskins
TE - Chase Coffman - Bengals
TE - Martin Rucker - Cowgirls
TE - Bear Pascoe - Giants
TE - Cornelius Ingram - Eagles
S - Chip Vaughan - Saints
I'm sure there are more, but these are the ones that stood out to me as being the most discussed during mock draft and wish-list type debates. Any thoughts on these? Did we do well to miss them? Anyone want us to go after any?
By the way, Ko Simpson cut by.... the Lions...with that defense?! Wonder if he's still worth millions...
Also, shame about D Fine, J Reed and Alvin Bowen not sticking with their respective teams.
Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.

Center A Q Shipley was on our collective radar as well. Wasn’t Brian the only one pining for Martin Rucker?
It can always get worse. Let me tell you how.
Yes I remember Shipley. Missed him!
Not sure who was championing Rucker. I haven’t trawled back through the archives. But I do remember his name being mentioned often.
I, for one, really wanted LeFevour in the mid rounds.
I might look back at who wanted Bear Pascoe. I remember someone really pushing for him….
"Don't I know you?"
"Nah, that ain't me, man. I'm from Buffalo"
Brian was leading the charge
(We’ll never let this down)

We need TE's that can block
With a run first mentality, we need that type of player.

I would still have liked to take a flyer on Snead but obviously Levi Brown was our late round/UDFA QB of choice and he got cut too so… yeah.
Is it hockey season yet?

I’d personally rather have T. Smith than Fitzpatrick. I actually think Edwards/Smith/Brohm or even Edwards/Brohm/Smith looks like a fairly decent lineup in a run oriented offense. Looking back now (& I know hindsight is 20/20) the Levi Brown pick was a wasted pick. Unless they practice squad him which they probably will. I just think that if NIx & Gailey are in a win sooner than later mode, Smith would have offered more to the QB competition in training camp than Brown. I don’t see the point in trying to develop a 7th round pick out of a small school like Troy that ran a spread formation offense to be the next franchise QB on an NFL team. That could take years, and if he never pans out, then that is a lot of wasted time & effort.
Sam Bradford
ran a spread offense at Oklahoma.
I absolutely HATE having to watch so much Tennessee Oiler football.

You're right he did.
I think the Rams should definitely cut Sam Bradford. Definitely.
