Bills Sign RB Joique Bell To Practice Squad
The Buffalo Bills have re-signed running back Joique Bell to its practice squad. Bo Marchionte of NFLDraftBible.com had the report first, and Bell himself confirmed the news via Twitter.
An undrafted free agent out of Wayne State, Bell was a pleasant surprise for the Bills during preseason action. He rushed for 152 yards and two touchdowns in four games, averaging 5.6 yards per carry along the way. He also added four receptions and got a lot of playing time covering kicks and punts.
Bell was always a longshot to make Buffalo's final roster given the fact that the Bills have three highly talented running backs on their depth chart. His strong preseason and talent level made him a no-brainer for the practice squad, and now that he's cleared waivers, he's back in Buffalo.
Buffalo, like every other NFL team, has eight spots available for practice squad players. Stay tuned as they continue to fill that squad up today and in coming days.

Awsome!
With a bit of time on the PS he and Spiller could eventually form a heck of a 1-2 punch for us.

It was Cookie's turn to lead the "easiest exercise" during the Monday practice after a game-- he said-- "we're going to do deep breathing--everybody inhale--dehale "
OK. Now I feel good about yesterday's cut down.
Glad they are keeping him available for us.

jets kept seven running backs
according to cbs.com, they kept seven running backs.
and i thought the bills would keep four…..
wow, and the jets are all about defense???
i would be seriously worried about their head coach
having lost his mind…..
why keep seven running backs??
someone help me?
kinda like the bills keeping 10 linebackers i guess…
must not know who to play….
but at least with linebackers you can imagine special teamers…
are these running backs supposed to run down punts and kickoffs too?
joe mcknight
its because joe mcknight took a pay cut they kept him around, LT/Shonn greene werent going ne where. Jon Connor/T Rich thats 5. idk who the other two, but i would say they get cut with waiver wire moves.
Chauncey Washington and Danny Woodhead
Special Teamers…
Why/how did McKnight take a paycut? You sure you aren’t thinking of Gholston???

Gotta
McKnight is a rookie and a later round one at that. I don’t think it’s possible for him to take a paycut.
Also I think shonne green gets about 80% of the carries no matter how many rbs they keep

its a joke from Hard Knocks, sorry i should have put that in comment.
the vets were making fun of him because of what happened at USC with the agents and Reggie Bush.
This past season we tendered a few players.
And nobody was picked up. I would like Brown to be signed as I don’t see two of our current three QB’s being around in 2011. What I mean is the 2010 players tendered should have greater value and they should seem more appealing to others. Expect to see OL and TE signings, we need practice bodies, two OL and one TE would bring the total on the offensive side to five. Possibly one WR bringing that total up to six of the eight. Certainly interesting.

I have heard that
to sign a player off of our practice squad the new team would have to put that player onto their 53 man roster. So now that Bell has cleared waivers he is a safer bet to stay for now right?? I guess down the road if a team has a rash of injuries ar RB this could become a risk again. Also would someone like to explain the procedures of how the waiver wire works for me. who gets first shot a these guys, and why??
Bell just got signed to Tampa Bay according to WIVB!
