With the offseason unfortunately upon us, we’re fully entrenched in season reviews and mock drafts/scouting reports. It’s too bad because living in Baltimore and hearing all of the playoff talk, makes me miss watching the Bills in the playoffs something fierce. It seems like it’s been forever since we’ve been a part of it…… oh wait, it HAS been forever. Depressing…..
So with a slow day at work, I’d like to pose a hypothetical question in response to statcruncher’s post on how SB winning QB’s have exclusively been players who have won a bowl game in college. MRW brought up a good point that Hall of Fame QB’s like Jim Kelly and Dan Marino never won bowl games.
That makes me wonder, if you were given the choice, which would you rather.
Have a QB who puts the Bills in the payoffs year in and year out and turns out to be a hall of famer, but never hoists the Lombardi trophy…..
Have a QB who does win a SB, but is never a great player and as a result the team is up and down during his tenure.
Keep in mind I understand reality does not work this way but I am interested in a little lighthearted hypothetical fun during the offseason.
