2011 East-West Shrine Game: Notable Weigh-In Numbers

For those of you who are ready to do a little 2011 NFL Draft couch scouting, you'll want to tune into the East-West Shrine Game this Saturday. The game kicks off at 4PM Eastern Time, but, as always, you'll need the NFL Network in order to watch it.

Most of the prospects participating in this game are of the mid-to-late round variety, but without question, some very talented football players will be on display this weekend. Players are already in Mobile, Alabama, working with head coaches Dan Reeves and Wade Phillips to prepare for this game. After the jump, we've provided a list of 15 players that we're keen to keep an eye on this weekend, with their official weigh-in numbers coming courtesy of Wes Bunting at the National Football Post. Full numbers for all East-West Shrine Game participants are at that link.

O’Donnell from Ontario and Barksdale from LSU both are pretty big.. and is that 6097 mean like 6 ft 9? Very tall, maybe too tall, but I wonder what grades these guys have, round wise. 2,3 or later?

6097 means he’s 6’9 7/8", so he is basically 6’10".

What is Delone Carter 5088, 5’8" and 8/8? Can I assume a typo?

I took the numbers verbatim from Bunting. I’ll attribute it either to a typo on Wes’s part, or his measuring by tenths of an inch, rather than eighths. Either way, you can go ahead and consider Carter 5’9". :)

dontay moch at 229 is a surprise

he was listed at 240+ all this time… no wonder he is so fast, he is built like a safety…. i think he is not in bills’ consideration anymore…

He played 4-3 OLB all day on Tuesday, and struggled some. Scouts still like him.

Brian,

Who are you’re top 5ish/best prospects from this list?

Where does Lutrus project to at this point? 3rd, 4th round? He is a tackle machine at UConn

"I don’t understand why so many actually do believe in [Fitz]. Because he had a surprising season, threw a handful of TD’s and was better than the previous pile of manure the Bills put in at QB? That’s not good enough" - K

It’s so tough to pinpoint this early, but yeah, you’ve got the general vicinity. He’s one of my favorites.

Joe Barksdale has to be the weigh in winner with those long arms.

Doug Hogue at 235 pounds is a good weight for him.

Very surprising weigh in for Bruce Miller, the UCF pass rusher, coming in at 258 pounds. Makes me wonder if it’s a typo, especially being 6’1’’ and having short arms. It’s hard to believe he’d be that built or that out of shape.

Mario Butler, the CB from Georgia Tech only weighed in at 183 pounds despite being six feet and change.
