As I read the Buddy Nix interview I couldn't help but get excitied about the upcoming football season, I know I know the superbowl isn't over, but my superbowl (The Bills draft) is coming and it's close not as close as I would like it but its coming.

After I read his article my mind started chirning and it got me really wanting to make a fan post, it got me thinking about the upcoming draft and while I was thinking I came up with 3 reason why the Buffalo Bills will select A.J. Green with the # 3:

Reason #: 1 - The Bills selected 4 defensive players last year in the draft Troup, Carrington, Moats and Batten. Of those 4 players I would say none of them had a HUGE impact on anything, yes Moats came in and added some depth to our already ridiculously weak LB core but did not make a HUGE impact. I'm sure at least some of you will agree with me and to be honest not one player from our draft last year had a HUGE impact to be fair. Of all the picks available in the first round no one player other then Green stands to make a HUGE impact on whatever team drafts him, if Fairley goes first overall do you think he will dominate NFL lineman like he did in College, maybe you think different then I but I just don't see it, and guys like Dareus, Bowers, Kerrigan, Peah and any other dlineman seem to be a dime a dozen in this upcoming draft so from a pure impact aspect,it,in my mind at least has to be Green.

Reason #: 2 - Buddy clearly stated that his LB core needs to get bigger and stronger and hes's going to add guys that are built for the 3-4 scheme. I see these type of players being added via free agency, when you draft a kid straght from college regardless off him being a junior or a senior theres no doubt they have work to do on getting stronger does anyone else agree with me. These kids are the best of the best in college so when they go from being the best of the best in college to mediocre in the pros it takes a toll and yeah some guys make the transission very easily but those are the guys who are working really really hard to make the transission. So in terms of defense theres really no one available thats going to come up to the pros and dominate like Suh did this year, theres no one available that makes this team that much stronger on defense that in necessary that we take them with the 3rd overall pick. So from a strength standpoint I also see the pick being Green.

Reason #: 3 - You read the article and can't help but get the feeling that Buddy is not ready to draft a bonafide starting QB, or at least he feels that there really isn't anyone avialable that fits that description, and,I at least,also got the feeling that he likes Fitzy but isn't entirley sold on Fitzy. So I will assume that he may feel if Fitzy gets some help on offense then maybe he will be a little better, also Buddy states that somewhere in the draft and it could be anywhere that the Bills will probably select a QB whether it be with the 3rd overall or with the 7th rounder the Bills would like to select a QB, so who better then Green to take with the 3rd,let him come to OTA's with the newly drafted QB, let him sign on the dotted line with the newly drafted QB let them build a relationship from day one and build that repore that you see bonafide starting QB's have with their number 1 receiver. (Rodgers Jennings, Romo Austin, Payton Wayne, and so on)

Some may disagree and everyone is entitled to their opinion, but after reading what Buddy had to say,i'm convinced with the 3rd overall pick in the draft the Bills will select A.J. Green, and to be honest i'm not sure I like the pick and i'm not sure I hate the pick but after reading what Buddy was saying im convinced the pick in Green.
