Another season has ended, at last?

Did it go by too slow?  No?  Too fast?

Did we learn anything,

As the fat lady sings?

Red headed step children, beat down and harassed.

Is Fitzy our man for tomorrow?

Or to get "Luck" do we beg, steal, and borrow?

Will we all cry or laugh?

At the end of the draft?

Looking back with satisfaction or sorrow?

But let's look back at this season a short time,

As I struggle to find words that rhyme.

Both the good and the bad,

That made us cheer, made us mad,

The angers, the joys, the sublime.

Oh and eight, overtime losses times two,

Already the Bills season was through.

When the Lions came to play,

Almost gave that away,

One and eight, fans are heard gasping "phew"!!

The Bengals were certain they'd won,

Not so fast, my striped friends, we're not done.

A second half smackin',

Had Marv Lewis hackin',

And for the first time our Bills having fun.

Third time we extended the game,

Overtime with the Steelers, the same?

Fast forward, poor Steve,

On his butt he did greave,

Then continued to twitter his shame.

The final four games zipped on by,

Two wins, then two losses, me oh my.

Division beat down,

The AFC Eastern clown,

And I wondered if our team even tried.

Now the sun sets on the 2010 season,

And we look for the rhyme and the reason.

Who'll return, whose rejected?

Overpaid, or neglected?

Players strike?  The ultimate treason!!

So at the end of the day I'm still pleased.

Though our Bills have been battered and teased.

Yes, our season has ended,

But many issues have mended,

And next year we'll bring the league to its knees!!!
