My First Mock Draft
This is my first mock draft of the year. This mock will be assuming the Bills make no trades. I do plan on doing another mock draft with trades sometime within the next couple weeks.
So, with the third overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills select:
Marcell Dareus DE Alabama
With Alex Carrington needing a couple more years of experience, and Marcus Stroud not being much more than a body to take up a block, Marcell Dareus is a perfect fit for the Bills. Dareus is a big, physical defensive end, that can stop the run, and is a good pass rusher, which is helped by his quick first step. Something that makes this the perfect pick is that Dareus played defensive end in Alabama's pro-style 3-4 defense, so he could come in and start right away, and not need as much coaching as some other prospects might need.
With the 34th pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills select:
Kelvin Sheppard ILB LSU
Many people, including myself, have been impressed by Sheppard this season, and in the Senior Bowl. This pick seems likely to me for two reasons. 1.) The Bills don't draft Von Miller. 2.) Buddy Nix's comments about wanting an ILB to play alongside Poz.
With the 68th pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills select:
Pat Devlin QB Deleware
I'm pretty sure the Bills will take a QB in this draft, and I feel that Pat Devlin is the best choice. Pat Devlin has a strong enough arm to make all of the throws an NFL QB needs to make, is accurate enough to make it in the NFL, and has the ideal size for an NFL QB. Another reason I have the Bills picking Devlin is because I don't think any of the other QB's are worth drafting.
With the 99th pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills select:
D.J. Williams TE Arkansas
No one is really expecting anything from Nelson next season, so with the other tight ends on the Bills roster, it's clear that we need a tight end. I think the Bills will just miss out on Luke Stocker, so they will go with Williams. I think Gailey will love this pick because Williams in a very good run blocker. He also has good size, hands, and speed for how big he is.
With the 121st pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills select:
James Brewer OT Indiana
The Bills need an upgrade at RT. Upgrading a position in the 4th round this year is unlikely, but I'm thinking the Bills wont take a lineman much earlier. The thing that stands out about Brewer is his size. Brewer is 6-8, 335 pounds. With Brewer's impressive performance at the Senior Bowl, he may not be available this late, but if the Bills can get him in the 4th round, then good job by CHIX.
Rounds 5-7 are almost impossible to predict, but I do have one more mock pick.
With the 195th pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills select:
Josh Thomas CB Buffalo
Maybe I'm a little biased because he's from UB, but Yahoo! Sports did say he looked impressive in practices for the East West Shrine Game. Also, the Bills may need a corner since Florence seems to be leaving.
Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.

Pat Devlin QB
Did you watch the Senior Bowl. Did you see the performance of Ponder? There was an article
written awhile back about how fond Nix and Gailey were of Ponder. His performance might have made them like him even more.
I agree Ponder is a possibility
The Devlin pick is just kind of what I want. I just have a feeling that he will be the best QB in this draft class long term

I would like to take out Devlin and insert a RT

-Steve Tasker-
I would think of an OT in the third and Dalton in the fourth. or Ponder in the second or third and ILB and then OT in 4th.

I'm not a fan of Dalton at all

Great draft
Personally this is one of my favourite mocks so far, I think it really accurately reflects our needs and also is realistic on who will be drafted where. I really ,ove the Dareus, Sheppard, Williams and Brewer choices.
Saying that , I hate to think we will draft Devlin, but the FO seem committed to getting a QB somewhere.
