I've been following the goings-on in Denver with more than a little curiosity. After all, Buffalo has a Hall of Fame (former) quarterback who would clearly like to have some say in the running of the franchise. Something unexpected struck me when I was perusing an article about head coaching possibilities who have or are believed to be scheduled to interview for the head coaching job in Denver. Here are the names:
Eric Studesville
Mike Mularkey
Gregg Williams
Perry Fewell
Yeah, every one of them have extensive history with the Buffalo Bills. Three were head coaches, though Fewell was only seeing through Jauron's last year. Meanwhile, Eric Studesville - former running backs coach for the Bills - has just finished Josh McDaniel's aborted 2010 campaign. It strikes me as weird bordering on spooky that so many guys who couldn't get the job done in Buffalo should find themselves in contention for the head coaching job in Denver.
