Eight Buffalo Bills players missed practice on Wednesday. Six missed practice Thursday - and while that group contains some key members, the two that did participate represent the best news of the day for the Bills.
Andy Levitre, in the midst of his best season by far as a pro, was in his usual left guard spot Thursday after sitting out Wednesday to rest an ailing knee. Shawne Merriman, who continues to rest on Wednesdays and rotate out on Sundays, also practiced Thursday. Merriman has recorded sacks in each of Buffalo's last two games.
Of the group that has now missed two days of practice this week, defensive tackle Kyle Williams (foot) remains at the forefront. He's joined by receiver Donald Jones (ankle), tackle Demetrius Bell (shoulder), linebacker Chris Kelsay (calf), cornerback Aaron Williams (chest) and safety Da'Norris Searcy (ankle). Of this group, Williams likely has the best chance of playing on Sunday - but only if he can manage to practice at all on Friday.
