After falling to 4-2 following a 27-24 road loss to the New York Giants, the Buffalo Bills haven't taken a huge hit in weekly NFL power rankings.
NFL.com still has the Bills as a Top 10 team, ranking them at No. 9. Brian Billick of FOXSports.com and the panel at ESPN.com follow suit, ranking the Bills at No. 10.
Peter King of Sports Illustrated, who has been high on Buffalo since he visited training camp in August, ranks the Bills at No. 12. Mike Florio at ProFootballTalk.com, meanwhile, has dropped the Bills all the way down to No. 13 - just one week after putting them in his Top 5.
Fairly universally, power rankings everywhere cite the Bills' struggles defensively, their lack of a proven track record on the road, and their difficult schedule as rationale for placing them in playoff territory, but outside of the league's elite teams. That's a fair approach, in our estimation.
