I think we all know just how much love from the national media our Bills
have received over the past 2 weeks. I loved it. The first 3 games have been entertaining and have ended up in our favor. It's really been everything that is good about being a fan. Losses are never fun, but no one with any sanity can expect to go undefeated. In fact, I don't think any Rumblers drew a line in the sand at 16-0 (well maybe abayarde). I think a big part of what grinds our gears is that we lost to the Bengals
. I don't think most of us would be as upset as we are if we just lost to the Packers
. This was a game we were supposed to win if we are the kind of team that can make some noise in the postseason. Well that didn't happen and while I'll never be happy with a loss I'm going to suggest the Bills can turn this into a positive.
I'm glad that this loss was to the Bengals. Maybe this will turn all the national media coverage away from our team. Maybe they can get back to the mentality that no one believes they are good enough. I don't know if the little bit of attention got to their heads. Probably not, no one in the organization seems to think so. But in the first 3 games they played reasonably well and they had no believers. They were playing fun loose football, especially in the second half. I hope we can get back to that. I want there to be more national doubters because I really do think our bunch of rag tag late rounded goon squad players feed off that. Are we "there" yet? Not even close. But I've seen a much better team in games 1-3 and I still think there is something in those games that we can build off of.
Yes, you lost to the Bengals. No, you’re not as good as you thought you were. No, no one believes in you. Please come back Goon Squad.
Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.
