One day after eight Buffalo Bills players sat out practice in preparation for Week 5, five of those players made it back onto the practice field on Thursday - but one more player was added to the list of non-participants.
Torell Troup, who missed the Bills' first three games with a lower back issue, was back on the sidelines today with that same injury. From the sounds of it now, Chan Gailey is not expecting Troup to be available this weekend, which likely means that Kellen Heard will be back among the game-day actives.
C.J. Spiller, Ruvell Martin, Eric Wood, Shawne Merriman and Nick Barnett all practiced on Thursday, and all five look set to be in the lineup against the Philadelphia Eagles - even though all five were limited. Kraig Urbik and Terrence McGee were full participants for a second straight day, and both - even McGee, with whom the team is proceeding cautiously - look likely to be available this weekend.
Chris Kelsay left practice late with a tweaked calf, but early indications are that the injury isn't serious. Joining Troup on the sidelines once again were Demetrius Bell, Chris White and Aaron Williams.
