McGee out for season; Jackson, Jones also hurt - BuffaloBills.com
Fred Jackson should be good to go, says the running back, but the prognosis is not as good for Terrence McGee or Donald Jones.

Chan Gailey Postgame Press Conference - BuffaloBills.com
When I listened to this yesterday, I thought Chan Gailey sounded worn out. When you watch it, he looks that way, too.

Alarming lack of depth puts Bills in tailspin - The Buffalo News
The team that lost to the Dolphins, 35-8, on Sunday couldn't beat anyone. They're the worst team in the league right now. They'd have their hands full with St. Francis. "It's embarrassing," said linebacker Chris Kelsay. "We've literally been getting beat up. Guys are just out-physicaling us. We aren't executing. We've got to find some answers. I don't know what those are. I don't think anybody does at this point."

Bills drop third straight 35-8 to Miami - BuffaloBills.com
"I wish I could give you an explanation," said head coach Chan Gailey. "I cannot give you an explanation of how we played effectively earlier in the year and we’re not playing effectively now and we lost that one as a team every phase had problems, real problems."

Bills Roundup: Buffalo Left Searching for Answers - BuffaloBills.com
Chris Brown recaps the day.

Inside The Bills | Urbik to move to center next week
"That’s probably the direction we’re going to have to go from here on out," said Gailey when asked if Urbik would step into the pivot.

Inside The Bills | Chan on Levitre at center
"He came up and talked to me and I appreciate that, but I don’t want him to feel sorry for me," Levitre told Buffalobills.com. "It’s not like I haven’t played center before. I felt like I could play it and did an okay job, but some of those snaps at the end weren’t very acceptable and I’ll take the blame for that. But he has nothing to feel bad about."

Inside The Bills | Stevie: Identity not confidence
"Confidence is still there, it’s on us to find a way to shake whatever funk we’re in right now," he said. "Maybe we’re trying to find our identity as an offense. I don’t know. That’s what it seems like, but you wouldn’t expect that after the weeks that we put up points and felt like we were rolling. The past couple of weeks it just seems like we’re trying to find ourselves."

Inside The Bills | Miscommunication an issue
"We did some good things today on defense, but just didn’t do everything," he said. "We had some coverage, some miscommunication, and all of that type of stuff. We got to clean all of that up if we want to be good."

Inside The Bills | C.J. shoulders blame
"That’s on me, I should have punched that in," said Spiller. "I’ll dwell on that watching it on film. The guys did a great job of hacking it up and I just didn’t punch it in. That series right there, that’s all on me, it should have been six points."

Breaking Bad: Bills trampled by Dolphins - The Buffalo News
"The Buffalo Bills' plane made it back to Western New York on Sunday night, which was the biggest upset of the day. The Bills' season is going so far south, so fast, you'd have thought their pilot would have flown to Cuba."

Oh snap! Levitre has a bad day - The Buffalo News
"A lot of that came at the end with the slick ball and I think we had some issues with that," quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick said. "I think he was in a tough situation with the weather and not being a guy that has done a lot of that, but he worked real hard at it this week. He was just in a tough spot today."

Injuries strike two more starters - The Buffalo News
"Donald Jones slowly walked out of the Buffalo Bills locker room, plopped himself in the front seat of a golf cart and looked doleful as he placed headphones over his ears. Seconds later, Terrence McGee emerged with the aid of crutches as he sat in the back of the same cart with a similar, grim look."

Bills season slipping away | Democrat and Chronicle
"I wish I could give you an explanation why we played effectively earlier in the year and why we're not playing effectively now," said coach Chan Gailey following the Bills' third straight loss, this one a demoralizing 35-8 setback to AFC East rival Miami, a team that began the year with seven consecutive losses but has now won three in a row.

Sal's Six Points: Answered | Democrat and Chronicle
"Before Sunday’s game against Miami, reporter Sal Maiorana asked six questions of the Bills. Following Sunday’s game, here are the answers."

AFC East mired in mediocrity - AFC East Blog - ESPN
"The two middle teams, well ... let's just say they personify the word "pretender." Just three days after the New York Jets were upset by Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos, the Bills also were embarrassed in an ugly, 35-8 loss to the Miami Dolphins."

Fred Jackson says calf 'alright' - AFC East Blog - ESPN
"I will be alright," Jackson said. "It's just a bruise right now. So we will get some treatment on it next week and see what happens."

if its any consolation

those INTs that Fitz threw werent his fault, you really cant help what happens on tipped passes…Injuries really hurt you guys, its hard to win when your scouring the depth chart at key positions…The Fins got the breaks , Spiller needs to start producing like a 1st round pick also…anyways, looking forward to the rematch next week up in MetLife Stadium, one of us has to get out of the rutt we are in…peace

its hard to win when your scouring the depth chart at key positions

It’s also hard when you had no depth at key positions to begin with. Have to say I disagree with the Buffalo News article about “alarming lack of depth”. It’s not alarming. It’s been there lurking since the draft.

Anyway, not looking forward to next week’s game….peace to you as well.

Took the crow out of the oven. Replacing it with the only bird this team reminds me of...a turkey!

McGee out for season

sigh

2011 Colorado Avalanche - Dr. Jones can't suture this coaching wound.
The 2011 Buffalo Bills - Where we learn that signing a mediocre QB for 50+ Million dollars is just as good an idea as it sounds.
Burgundy Wave - SBnation's home for the Colorado Rapids
Crystal Palace FC - We'll take mid-table, thank you.

I can’t even begin to start thinking of all the positions that will need to be addressed seriously in the offseason, but cornerback has to be right up there. I really wanted to believe that McGee could come back due to his age not being wildly advanced, but enough is enough with this guy. McGee and McKelvin should not be brought back.

I have this theory that any player I have sign this one particular mini helmet of mine ends up faceplanting. I don’t seek them out to allow it to happen but I want certain players to sign it.

The one exception to this rule has been Moorman. I fear what’s in store for Dareus.

Alarming for whom? Just saw the comment from fansince60 and I wholeheartedly agree but want expand upon it. Who is alarmed at the lack of depth? The big 2:
1. We wondered by Hangartner was released where the depth was on the O-line. Now we know. We wondered why they wouldn’t want Hangartner as a backup center or guard. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a backup center right now (instead of someone who can play center?
2. We questioned the depth at outside linebacker and it turned out to be so poor we were pining for Kelsay to come back but were told that the answer to our concerns was a healthy Merriman.

The list could go on (safety, tight end, etc.) but these concerns were ignored. I genuinely think they never expected this team to be any good so they felt it wouldn’t hurt them that much.

Thank you thank you thank you thank you sireric for bringing the furious punching cat back into my life. - poz

For some reason it makes me feel better that the Jets are lousy too…

The Bills were supposed to be lousy. The Jets weren’t.

EXACTLY!

It’s weird, though, if Denver can beat the Jets… complete the sentence.

a) … then we can.
b) … then they can cream us.

And seriously, both are potentially true. We’ll see what happens next week. I’m picking a high-scoring game, amazingly, 38-30. Not picking a winner, though… there’s a one in three shot that we get in Mark’s head finally. Or do whatever the hell Denver did to hold them down… and hold them to four scores and a safety.

Lack of quality depth

It’s what you get when you sit where the Bills do vs salary cap and the rest of the league.

PS

I know there’s no cap this year—I’m talking about projected cap

I love T McGee

Good player, tackles VERY well, big heart type guy…but is his career over? How many season-ending injuries can one guy’s body take?

I still don’t know why Levitre was at Center – that made no sense. Urbik makes more sense there. Some of Chans personnel decisions are odd – to say the least

Sounds like they’re gonna fix that one this week, at least.
