What makes this blog by James Walker tough to read is that I believe he's absolutely right - Fitz and the team DID get down on themselves way too quickly and, in turn, lost their confidence in the face of what seemed to be a "must win" situation.
Among the many things to find bothersome about that loss yesterday, I found the body language of our undisputed leaders (Fitz and Freddy) on the sideline, as early as the first quarter, to be among the most disturbing and hard to accept.
Being a big supporter of both, I don't necessarily expect them to be Ray-Lewis-like but c'mon, don't leaders take it upon themselves to lift their team when the chips are down? Is the competitive fire in their bellies lost that quickly and so easily??
Just this humble Bills fan's opinion that it would've been nice to see more of a visible emotional effort, a spark if you will, from our leaders to rally this fumbling team.
