Chan Gailey Monday Update - BuffaloBills.com
The Bills head coach updates injuries and talks about the team's slump.

Jackson status up in the air for Sunday - BuffaloBills.com
"He’s banged up, but we’ll have to wait and see," said Gailey. "I don’t know if I can give you a good answer right now. He’s hurting and I doubt he would practice early in the week, but we hope to have him late in the week."

Gailey: We have to keep fighting - BuffaloBills.com
"A runaway train is 0-8," he said. "That’s a runaway train and you’re trying to correct it. This is, we’ve done it. It’s not like we haven’t done it. We’ve got to get our guys back, keep everybody together, keep fighting and keep working. It will not be easy because it is bad right now. It is and I understand that and I see that, and I’m responsible for it. So we’ve got to get it going in the right direction. We’re going the wrong direction on that train, but I don’t think it’s a runaway."

Urbik to man the pivot - BuffaloBills.com
"I never had done it before last year, but now I’m really, really comfortable in there," Urbik told Buffalobills.com. "Last year and even this year I’ve had a lot of snaps at center, in practice too. In the Dallas game I got quite a few snaps and felt comfortable and felt pretty good."

Inside The Bills | Barnett still believing
"We’re 5-5," he said. "We’re still alive. We’re still in the hunt of this thing. If you look at the film there are some things that we can fix and there are some things that we shouldn’t have done. We’re definitely in the hunt for the Wild Card position so we just have to fight for that at this point and see what happens game by game."

Inside The Bills | Chan: Players better be upset
"If you’re not upset about what has happened to us going from 5-2 to 5-5 you better get out of the business and I told the players that," said Gailey. "Pack it up and take your money and go home because if you’re satisfied with being a loser you ought not to play the game."

Inside The Bills | Dolphins DB rips Bills
"In the first half, when we jumped on them, the way the game was going and the way they were playing, they laid down," Bell told the Palm Beach Post. "We were putting a hat to them and flying all over the place. When we don’t make mistakes, we execute, and everybody’s in the right spot, we’re a pretty good defense. We did that, and I feel they laid down."

Inside The Bills | McKelvin’s role up in the air
"That remains to be seen," said Gailey. "Obviously with the injury that changes things. We’ll see how that goes."

Bills can’t explain their decline, Gailey says his team is "pitiful" | ProFootballTalk

Pitoniak Discusses Blundering Bills - RochesterHomePage.net
"Scott Pitoniak and Thad Brown talk about how the Bills could go from 5-2 to doormat in three weeks. Scott also answers why the offense has struggled and if Ryan Fitzpatrick still has long term potential in Buffalo."

Pitoniak: Bills Pummeled Again - RochesterHomePage.net
"To be fair, the injuries have taken their toll. My fears about the impact of the loss of center Eric Wood were realized. Andy Levitre, a natural guard who has done yeoman's work filling in at left tackle, had a tough day in his first NFL start at center."

Dolphins hammer free falling Bills - RochesterHomePage.net
"The fiercest hits by Miami Dolphins defenders sent opposing helmets flying. The ball squirted loose a few times too, further evidence of the Buffalo Bills' once-promising season slipping away."

Corey McIntyre tries to figure out Bills' struggles - TCPalm.com
"Everything went wrong," said McIntyre, the former South Fork High School standout. "I'm just trying to figure out what the problem is. We are just killing ourselves, and keep putting ourselves in bad situations. We are making way too many mistakes and getting behind too early."

Yeremiah Bell: Buffalo Bills took a beating and they 'laid down' - Palm Beach Post
Punt block: "They weren't really blocking us," Clemons said. "They were just sliding over. After a couple times I decided if they just took off again I was going after the ball."

CANOE -- SLAM! Sports - NFL - The Bills are so bad ...
"Fitzpatrick has yet to win a game since signing a $59-million, six-year contract last month. He was sacked twice Sunday and has 12 turnovers in the past six games." Well, that's not true at all, folks.

Inside The Bills | Losses have chipped at confidence
"It’s definitely been drained a little bit the last few weeks, especially the way that we’ve lost and falling behind early and not having that sense of ‘oh, we can still do this. Let’s go out there and series-by-series take it down and score,’" he said.

Bills' Jones may be done for rest of season - The Buffalo News
Bills coach Chan Gailey said "it's more long term than short term" when describing the injury Monday, leaving Jones only an "outside chance" of playing again this season.

Bills' Jackson 'Hurting', McGee Done For Year - WGR 550

Bills' Gailey Deflects Question About DC Edwards - WGR 550
"Edwards, in his second season with the Bills, has led the team to be in the bottom ten of overall defensive rankings in the NFL. With the current stretch of things, the question of the defensive coordinator's job security came up on Monday."

To say that Chan called his team “pitiful” by saying they had a pitiful day is an insult to journalism.

Yeah. I thought that was fishy, too.

The Bills ‘laid down’? Nothing would piss me off more as a pro athlete than some jackass saying that. I understand the Bills got blown out and beat up, but I don’t think they were out there dogging it. Certainly not the entire team… Yosemite Bell better keep his head on a swivel when the Dolphins come to Buffalo, someone should be looking to take it off.

McKelvin's role

He needs to get a handle on his technique but he’s easily the best athlete in the defensive backfield. He shouldn’t be on the bench. Now, maybe this guy should really be covering slot receivers but it seems that doesn’t fit in with “the scheme” (maybe time for “the scheme” to change anyway?). In any case, with McGee out, I don’t understand McKelvin not playing.

Id’ be interested to hear comments on how Rogers did … Williams is still looking too green for my tastes.
