According to Meril Hodge he Bills should cut Stevie Johnson. A person that should be cut is Meril Hodge from ESPN! The guy is an absolute clown! Let's just go and cut our young WR who just dominated the best CB in the league. "Stevie Johnson has hurt the Bills organization more than he has helped"- Meril Hodge. Without Johnson the game wouldn't have even been close! I take this with a grain of salt because Hodge is also the guy who said Denver could not win with Tim Tebow as their QB

Just saw that

and it is, without a doubt, one of the dumber things I’ve ever heard on ESPN.

Firstly, we should cut him? Are you kidding me? He is a good, hopefully nearing great, wide receiver and without a doubt our best offensive weapon since Fred has gone down. To even suggest cutting him right now is idiotic. Was his celebration stupid? Yeah, it was. But it wasn’t a play like Suh’s where he had malicious intent or anything like that; it was just an immature celebration.

Secondly, saying that he has hurt this organization more than he has helped us? Does this even merit a response? He’s had what, three excessive celebrations? Is Meril really implying that 45 yards of penalties hurt us more than 1,807 yds and 17 TDs have helped us? Pathetic, Meril.

Yes this whole ordeal was stupid and if he could do it over I have no doubt that Stevie would choose to not celebrate. However, what Meril said was just dumb. Really, really dumb.

Sorry for the rant, but I needed to get that off my chest.

Agreed. A no-talent a$$clown. Glad he doesn’t have any Grammys.

Everything I’ve read about the situation completly ignored the fact that the kicker whiffed on the ball and sent it 10 yards. They make it sound as though the only reason the Jets had a short field was because of the penalty

“Stevie Johnson has hurt the Bills organization more than he has helped”- Meril Hodge.

It’s just Hoge’s post-concussion symptoms acting up, again . . .

What kills me is

Plaxico Burress did the exact same celebration when he scored {minus the "crash"}.

Why the hell wasn’t he flagged??

What kills me

is that Plaxico Burress actually shot himself in the leg and people wanna talk garbage about Stevie being stupid for making fun of him. Meanwhile everyone and their mother made fun of Plax when he did it.

In Hollywood there is a saying. I’ve seen it in a few forms but this is the one I remember.

The only thing worse than bad press is NO PRESS.

You want Hoge gone? Anyone else. Either voice your displeasure to his company or stop watching. Otherwise making a FanShot gives him more press, which is the whole point of uttering outrageous statements. If Hoge, or anyone else, just said something along the lines of “The Bills need to evaluate what happened … blah blah” then there would be much less “watercooler” talk.

As long as remarks like this get you talking about any aspect of the company then they will continue to have them.

.

When the job is finished no one remembers how long it took, just how well it was performed.

Why So Stupid?

Um, yeah, we all figured out this particular celebration was dumb and it backfired on the guy doing it.

But I have confidence Stevie will get it all figured out in the end; the genius from ESPN not so much.

So here it is for him to get in a NewsFlash: It’s the guy who shot himself who should be the spectacle. Not the guy making fun of the guy who shot himself. To confuse this notion is to not get the difference between black and white, up and down and ESPN and the Wall Street Journal.

Go big or go home.

Cut who...Stevie...C'mon...get real buddy

So what is Merril Hodge going to say next, that Detroit should cut Suh for his nasty selfish act? Start looking for a new job Merril, after that comment you might need to.
