I have heard some people say that our experiment with Shawne Merriman has been a failure because of his lack of sacks and the re-injuring of his achilles tendon, but I disagree. I remember how Merriman was instramental in bringing Nick Barnett to Buffalo. Also our Ints have gone down alot since Merriman was injured. His sack numbers don't tell the whole story either because I remember him consistently creating pressure on the quarterback. Also I remember in training camp he would help teach younger OLB's and would show some of our young OT's some moves and tricks pass rushers use. So in my opinion Merriman has been a successful investment.
