Season over for DT Williams - BuffaloBills.com
"You never breathe easy when you lose an All-Pro player," Gailey told Buffalobills.com. "That is a huge loss for our football team when he’s not in the game. Not only by his play, but by his leadership and the energy he brings to the game."

Bills sign K Rayner - BuffaloBills.com
"Rayner is all too familiar with serving as an injury replacement in the NFL. Last season he appeared in eight games with Detroit as he filled in for long time Lions kicker Jason Hanson after he was placed on injured reserve with a sprained MCL."

Inside The Bills | RB Jones back for Cowboys?
"Dallas RB Felix Jones, who has missed the last three games with a high ankle sprain might be ready to return to the Cowboys lineup on Sunday against the Bills."

Inside The Bills | Nelson: "We took a step back"
"The Giants game we felt like we were in and should have won and the Cincinnati game we felt like we should have won," said Nelson in referring to Buffalo’s pair of three-point losses this season. "Those were tough losses, but at the same time you can grow from that. Against the Jets we took a step back. So guys are not very happy about how we played."

"I would rather not go that direction because what I have found and what other people have found is that when you ask a guy to do two things it sort of messes up the one thing he does best," Gailey said.

Mad Math on Fourth-and-1 and How Numbers Don't Lie | THE BEST OF NICK MENDOLA
"So what did I do? I went through literally every play of the 2011 season leading up about 5:35 p.m. today. Sixty-two times this year, a team has "gone for it" on 4th-and-1 or 4th-and-inches." Success rates and more fun statistical analysis!

History not on their side as Bills hit the road - The Buffalo News
"From 1990 through the 2010 season in the NFL, there have been 106 road swings. Only nine teams went 3-0. Just 29 had a winning record at 2-1. Fifty-one of those trips ended with the teams going 1-2, and another 17 teams dropped all three games."

Power Rankings: Pats, Bills freefall - AFC East Blog - ESPN
"Like the Patriots, the Bills also dropped seven spots from No. 7 to No. 14 after getting drilled by the Jets, 27-11. I dropped the Bills from No. 6 to No. 15. It's dramatic. But when I was ranking teams, I thought 14 teams were better right now than the Bills."

Any system in which Mark Sanchez is tied with Ryan Fitzpatrick in a conversation about who is having the better season is ridiculous.

"Rayner played in just one game for the Raiders and did not attempt a field goal or extra point. He was 13-of-16 on field goals for the Lions in 2010."
