"According to sources, LSU redshirt sophomore defensive end Sam Montgomery is strongly considering declaring for the 2012 NFL Draft. Montgomery, who has recorded 44 tackles and 19 tackles for loss, and leads the top-ranked Tigers with nine sacks, reportedly has been told that he has the chance to be taken among the Top 15 picks in the draft."

I just saw this so I don't know much about him (YET), but I thought I would introduce him to fellow Rumblers since he's new to the draft conversation. Here's his measurables: (DE / OLB) Sam Montgomery 6-4, 245lbs, runs a 4.53-40. That's the ideal size/ speed for a 3-4 OLB. Looks like he has a good first step (though unconventional), seems to play fast, and strong in both pass rush and against the run. And... his best game of the year was against Alabama. That's a plus in my book. I like guys that play up to the competition. Seems like his biggest knock is that he's an unproven Sophomore prospect with limited experience / tape, but he seems like a better, more explosive athlete than Whitney Mercilus or Courtney Upshaw, and bigger and stronger than Zach Brown. Regardless, you be the judge. I'll keep an eye on him during the LSU/ Alabama rematch. In the meantime, here's some "film":
