Buffalo Bills Sleeper Of The Week: WR David Nelson

Stay connected for news and updates

Early this season, Buffalo Bills wide receiver David Nelson was one of the hottest commodities on the fantasy football market. After a season-ending injury to Roscoe Parrish - and with Nelson hauling in 14 passes in the year's first two games, including a game-winning touchdown reception in Week 2 - Nelson was one of the more popular waiver claims this season.

He kept his status as a fantasy player worth owning, as well, during the early parts of the Bills' six-game losing streak, hauling in touchdown passes in losses to the Jets (twice) and Cowboys.

Still, Nelson has had a quiet couple of weeks, catching just five passes for 54 yards in the Bills' last two losses. In his last game against this week's opponent, the Miami Dolphins, Nelson caught just one pass for no yardage.

Nelson has slid far enough of late that it's fair to call him a sleeper again. Though Miami had his number a month ago, Nelson had a good day (three catches, 63 yards and a score) in Miami as a rookie. We'll call him the Bills' sleeper of the week this weekend.
