WABillsfan's Pick Justifications:
Falcons- The other team reeks like week old meat, the Falcons win.
Cowboys- The Bucs are well done, so the fork is sticking in them pretty badly, all the Cowboys need to do now is twist it.
Panthers- Houston has clinched, and they need a rest on both sides of the ball, I think they lose this one.
Bills- Otherwise, when else will we win a game? They fired their coach, so that means Gailey has a chance to.... wait, I am now making myself think the Dolphins will win, nope, sticking to my guns, Bills win.
Giants- The D has finally woken up and gotten healthy and the "Elite" Eli has shown up.
Packers- Haven't mis-picked them all season, why start now? Anyhow, mentally tough teams like them do NOT have down games against bad competition.
Seahawks- To beat the Hawks, you gotta be able to pass, and the Bears can't do that without Forte AND Cutler. Red Bryant (a guy both Brian and I screamed the Bills should have drafted some years ago) has anchored a tough run D.
Titans- Because the other team is the Dolts.
Bengals- They make amends for last week and blast the Rams.
Saints- Indoors at this time of year? Easy pick, against the Vikings? Even easier pick.
Raiders- I just have a gut feeling that the Raiders suck it up this week.
Eagles- They are playing for Andy Reids coaching life, and the guys actually still seem to like him, so I think they keep him from Death's Door one more week.
Browns- Why? I don't really know, maybe becuase I lived near Cleveland for 4 years in college (GO YEOMEN!)
Patriots- Tebow and Broncos win with grit, determiniation, and tough football all around. The only problem is that the Patriots win by blowing you out. In a game of QBs who just win, I am siding with the guy who has done it longer.
Ravens- Chargers have gone a win streak against sub-par competition, the Ravens are not a sub-par team, they win.
49ers- This is going to be a great game for anyone who truly loves defensive football games and ones where the stretcher is brought out at least twice a quarter. Big Ben nearly swayed me to the Steelers, but their line is so patchwork, I do not think Ben escapes upright this week. The 49ers are looking to make a statement after last week and the loss to the Ravens.
Ron's Pick Justifications:
Atlanta: The Jags' heads swelled so much in their win over the dreadful Bucs that they'll have trouble getting their helmets on.
Cowboys: Yes, Romo is erratic in December...but Tampa is terrible and playing on a national stage (Saturday game) won't help.
Bengals: How did the Rams get on Monday night? They're just awful and the Bengals will be looking to avenge last Sunday's improbable comeback win by the Texans.
Texans: Maybe Buffalo should have drafted Yates. Okay, that's a bit over the top as Houston has a top-flight defense and a commitment to running the ball.
Bears: It was amazing to see Marion Barber commit one stupid mistake after another to let Tebow win again.
Colts: Yeah, I said it. Indy can afford to get one win and still claim Andrew Luck. This is the best shot at it.
Giants: The Redskins gave the Patriots all they could handle, somehow. Don't look for that intensity and competence to continue two weeks in a row out of Rex Grossman.
Packers: Have I mentioned that I hope the Packers go 19-0 just so they can call Robert Kraft and ask for the rights to that copyright they don't need?
Bills: Miami just fired the head coach. I'm leery of taking Buffalo but am hoping (yeah, me) that the Bills can survive the post head coach firing (dead cat) bounce.
Saints: It's and indoor game and Drew Brees excels indoors. Also, this helps Green Bay and that perfect season thing--possibly routing San Fran through New Orleans.
Lions: Oakland has reverted to form the past couple of weeks and the Lions will help them remain consistent.
Cardinals: Look who is riding a 2 game win streak!
Patriots: Denver won't be holding Tom Brady to 13 points. It think this will be a very strange shootout, with slow Denver drives and quick New England TDs.
Eagles: Yeah, the Jets are the better team....but Philly has some fight left in it.
Ravens: Phillip Rivers is something like 23-2 in December. Part of that success is getting to play crappy AFC West teams at the end of the season for several years. Baltimore isn't in the AFC West.
49ers: The Steelers are vulnerable and the 49ers will be looking to avenge a flat outing in week 14.
Kurupt's Pick Justifications:
Atlanta - Jacksonville stinks, outside of MoJo.
Bucs- Because why not? Romo's late season struggles continue. Coach Ginger's hot seat intensifies.
Dolphins
Seahawks
Panthers
Titans
Packers
Saints
Giants
Bengals
Lions
Browns
Patriots
Eagles
Chargers
Steelers
Krytime's Pick Justifications:
ATL - Still think they're overrated, but somehow they've won enough to be tied for 8th overall in the league. That should be good enough to beat what I think is a lousy JAX team.
Dallas- and only because I need to root for Dez Bryant..
Buffalo - Just hoping for a little early Xmas
NY Giants - I'm sort of struggling to figure out how they're not better than their record.
Green Bay - Does anyone really need an explanation here? Actually can't believe the line is what it is. Should be at -20.
New Orleans - These guys are just on fire. How can you pick against them?
Seattle - These guys are on fire too? Say it ain't so, but it is. 4-1 last five.
Houston - Picking against my Carolina pals, again...
Tennessee - This could be a week Indy sneaks one in, but probably not.
Cincinnati - I wish I had Cedric Benson on my FF team this week.
Detroit - Was tempted to go Oak; this should be a good game to watch.
New England - Sorry God.
NY Jets - I hate both of these cities/teams. Wish I didn't have to pick.
Arizona - Seattle-ish in their play the last five weeks.
Baltimore - Go Ray Rice! (guess who has him in FF playoff match-up?)
Pit - Absolutely can't wait to watch this game.
Joe P.'s Pick Justifications:
Falcon - They are at home and still in the hunt.
Cowboys- The Bucs have packed it in
Fins - Bills can't stop the pass or the run
Hawks - Bears don-t have a QB or RB
Titans - Colts continue to suck for Luck
Packers - Trap game- Maybe, but I am still going with the Packers
Bengals - They got robbed last week. I think they take it out on the Rams
Saints - Vikes find a way to lose every week.
Giants - It is about time for the bad Rex to show up
Texans - Another playoff team at home
Raiders - Need to stay within striking distance of the Broncos
Broncos - TEBOW TEBOW TEBOW-..sure it is a long shot, but I would love to see what the talking heads say if Tebow beats the greatBellicheat
Jets - Eagles are thinking more about Christmas shopping than winning games
Cards - Remember when I said the Bills should draft Skelton?
Chargers - Getting healthy to late, but still looking for some respect
Niners - Steelers have to travel and have a beat up Oline and QB
Poz's Pick Justifications:
Atlanta - Jacksonville can't matchup with all of their weapons.
Dallas - will make up for that stinger to the Giants
Buffalo - With a new coach the Dolphins flounder (see that?)
Chicago - I can't believe Sam Hurd was the largest drug kingpin in Chicago....
Carolina - Cam Newton has an enormous day and runs all over the Texans
Tennessee - Is it Jake's debut? Either way, Indy can't stop a nosebleed
Packers - Tempted to take the Chiefs in Arrowhead but this matchup is too lopsided on both sides of the ball
Minnesota - I have picked this team too many times but they WILL surprise this week
Giants - getting back in the playoff race, Eli is picking it up.
Cincinnati - this offense is very good and the defense is very good and the Rams are awful.
Oakland - Carson Palmer has to get back on the tracks sometime, what better time than now?
Cleveland - Another team I pick to many times but they got the Cards this week, right??
New England - Love Tebow, believe the "intangibles" theory is real, but also believe Tom Brady is real.
Eagles - The Jets are not going to make the playoffs, I must believe this.,
Baltimore - Chargers learn not everyone is the Bills
Pittsburgh - Ben plays and his "heroic" effort is enough to pump up his team into slaughtering Alex Smith.
Silverstreak's Pick Justifications:
Falcons - Jags are not what they were last week, but it does prove my theory that Tampa is terribly over-hyped
Dallas - see above.
Texans - dont ask me how, but those texans just keep on winning.
Giants - im still believing the Giants make the post season and possibly make the nfc champ game
Dolphins - is there a worse team in the nfl besides the bills? i dont think so, and i think the dolphins have found a grove despite their loss and the firing
Bears - i love marshawn, but da bears are due for a win and need this one to stay alive for a post season push
Saints - vikings are so lost right now its not even funny
Bengals - if they cant beat the seachickens with an extra day who thinks they will solve cincy's defense with one less day?
Titans - their defense is tough, just ask NO, indy doesnt score more than 10 in this one and that seals it for cj and locker
Packers - really? playing a bad team without a head coach? easy pick
Lions - oak is fading fast, faster than i thought they would.
Broncos - a pick that im not sure is smart, but i do love me some tebow, and ill pick him over new england any day just for spite.
Eagles - in a shocker, the eagles come in and dash the hope of a playoff berth for the jets
Cardinals - because the other team is cleveland
Ravens - chargers are not as good as the bills (and fitzy) made them look, ravens steamroll them
49ers - ticky game, i give it to the 49ers because its at home and in primetime. if this is a day game, then i go steelers, but i think the 49ers will use that extra emotion and pull this one out.
