Sheppard learning on the job - The Buffalo News
"[Since] we inserted him into the starting lineup, he has made a lot of strides," coach Chan Gailey said of Sheppard. "Where he has got to continue to get better at is just understanding the whole concept of [the] defense and becoming a better communicator in there. Taking more charge, which is hard for a rookie, because he doesn't know. So I think this experience will really help him develop as a player, to become what we hoped he would be when we drafted him."

"You feel a huge responsibility to the organization, to the football team, to the fans. You feel a responsibility to everybody," he said. "We want to finish strong and finish on a positive note. We’re one game better than we were last year, but it doesn’t feel anywhere near like that. So you’d like to finish as strong as we possible and carry that into next year."
Inside The Bills | Rooks trying to clear wall
"I can’t speak for the other rookies, but I’m feeling that wall getting close," said Marcell Dareus. "The regular season in college is over with and it’s Week 14 in the NFL and oh man it’s taking a toll. Trying to stay fresh is tough. Old injuries just keep recurring and your body just hurts."
Spiller TD & stat details - The Buffalo News
"If a teammate or opponent would have recovered (or if the ball had rolled out of the end zone), Spiller would have been credited with 30 yards. Because he recovered his own fumble, though, he then gets credit for all yardage to the point of recovery."
Bills now face difficult finish to the season - Olean Times Herald
"It’s not easy," Gailey said of his team’s last four games with nothing at stake. "You can say you’re playing for pride, you can say you’re playing for jobs, you can say you’re playing for the future and all of those are partially true in some way shape or form."

i think the bills can still be 7-9 which i have been maintaining for some time…
i put them at #22 in the rankings though
Who knew Bryan Scott could sing so well? This link is in the interview with Arthur Moats, who sat in on this video (on drums, I think. The director seems to not want to allow any shot to be on longer that half a second).

i am firm believer in the ability of rhetoric to inspire oneself or a group of people. nothing about fitzpatrick’s comments indicates that this man is a leader, or confident, or on the verge of imposing his will-power upon his teammates to snap out of this funk. absolutely nothing!
"They’re a very special group of men. Cherish them, you will not see their like again."
allow me to vent some of my frustration: but ralph should just sell the team now to the highest bidder, rather than wait for the team to be auctioned after he passes (which i truly hope isn’t any time soon. i do wish the man well). however, as a team owner, his track record over the last 12 plus years speaks for itself. this team needs new ownership, new leadership from top to bottom. otherwise, it will never regain its winning ways under this ownership.

He brought in a respected football guy to run the franchise when he hired Tom Donahoe. He did the same thing when he hired Buddy Nix. They have whiffed on several draft picks which sucks but isn’t by itself an indictment of Ralph Wilson.
