With this morning's reports that the Buffalo Bills have shown interest in free agent safeties Bob Sanders and O.J. Atogwe, it got us thinking: now that the Bills are four-deep in options at the position, who is your favorite?
The Bills have a couple of free agent safeties of their own that are viewed as starting-caliber. Donte Whitner, entering his sixth season in the league, has repeatedly expressed frustration over contract negotiations with the Bills via his Twitter account, and appears to have priced himself out of returning to Buffalo. Meanwhile, fan favorite George Wilson has the support of 92% of our community to return to the team - a rather overwhelming vote.
Sanders is a better physical complement to penciled-in starting free safety Jairus Byrd, but his injury concerns are pretty major. Atogwe is one of the game's better free safeties and is a playmaker, but it's unclear what his presence in Buffalo would do to Byrd's playing time prospects. Atogwe could theoretically line up at strong safety, but he is at his best playing centerfield.
Let's assume that the idea is to keep Byrd at free safety for this poll. Let's also leave finances out of it - pick your favorite football player.
