As requested, another 7 rd mock draft

Had some time this eveing so doing a complete 7 rd draft. After 8 games given up 200 yds on the ground I am taking D early.

Rd 1 Robert Quinn, OLB, NC
Rd 2 Mohammed Wilkerson, 3-4 DE, Temple
Rd 3 Kelvin Sheppard, SILB, LSU
Rd 4 Andy Dalton, QB, TCU
Rd 4 Jason Pinkston, OT, Pitt
Rd 5 Wesley Saunders, TE, SC
Rd 6 Josh Thomas, CB, UB
Rd 7 Will Hill, S, FL

I am a firm believer in getting bigger along our front 7 to stop the run.  Wilkerson and Carrington would be a duo for a long time at 5 technique.  Wilkerson could also move inside and rush on passing downs and help Kyle get pressure up the middle too.  Quinn off the corner would be a great way to make D's pick between stopping him or Merriman on passing downs.  Sheppard is a bigger Jack type LB who impressed Chan in Mobile.

Dalton looks alot like Drew Brees to me and has the "it" factor, a 4 year resume as a starter showing steady improvement from year to year.  10,000 yds, 71 TDs vs 30 INTs over 4 years in a primarily running offense.  His TDs increased YOY and his INT percentage  dropped.  His % completed increased from year to year as well.  His sacks decreased Year to year and he averaged over 4 yds per rush over his career with 100 rushes per year so he is mobile.  He had a great final Bowl game vs Wisconsin and ended his career 3-1 in Bowls beating Wisconsin, Houston and splitting with Boise State.

Pinkston will likely come with some insight from Dave Wannstedt and could help right away at RT.  Saunders would be a slight risk but the reward for a Rd 5 pick could be great.  Thomas and Hill will fill needs on the back of our D.

Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.
