The Next Great QB
An interesting read.
From a Buffalo perspective, QBs taken at #2 or #3 haven't fared well in the draft so perhaps a reason to be cautious if you weren't already.

Matt Ryan taken #2, or 3 right
Eli Manning #2.. oor at least Philip Rivers… this is nonsense… to each his own and it is merely who, not when, the player is taken is drafted
Go Bills because I'm a blind homer... sort of
The back half of the article is the real “meat” with a interesting assessment of Aaron Rogers.

Great article
I think there is a great deal of wisdom in this piece. I came away with two main lessons: 1) The best NFL QB’s are not necessarily taken in the top of the first round. The QB’s who are being talked up before the draft based on their college records are often disasters waiting to happen. It’s much better to look at the qualities a player presents even if the draft gurus have consigned him to the middle or lower rounds. 2) The most critical quality of all to look for is perfectionism. If a QB is driven to make himself perfect — seeking every tiny chance for improvement no matter how minor it might seem to be — that’s the guy you want.
Ehhh
This article seems kind of weak and very opinionated without many solid concrete facts to back it up. How many of those QB’s were thrown to the wolves right away and how many actually had the opportunity to sit and learn the system while a Vet handled the load for a year or 2? I believe much more in letting a QB sit and learn rather than throw him out there right away. Also it really depends on the class as well some classes run deeper than others to just nit pick selective years to fit your opinion and make it look legit doesn’t really say much to me.
