3rd Annual Buffalo Rumblings NCAA Tournament Challenge
Greetings again Rumblers. Welcome to the 3rd Annual Buffalo Rumblings NCAA Tournament Challenge. We will be hosting another Group for Rumblers to compete against each other with their brackets. We will once again be using the Yahoo platform to fill out your brackets.
To sign up and fill out a bracket, you will need to do the following:
1. Head on over to the Yahoo Bracket Tourney Pick'Em page. Just click that link or follow this link to the direct page for the Buffalo Rumblings Group, although I'm not sure you will have access to it until you are actually signed up.
2. You can click where it says "Join a Group", either before or after you create an entry (I believe).
3. Be sure you are signed into Yahoo.
4. When asked for the Group ID#, please enter 74563. The password you will need to enter is "bills" with no quotations.
5. Please be sure to use your Rumblings handle as your Entry name so we can all identify each other. Friends of Rumblers are also more than welcome.
6. Make sure you fill out your bracket before Thursday at noon.
I hope everyone will play, regardless or whether you are a college hoops fan or who you root for. We had a large number of participants last year and hope to continue that trend this year.
PLEASE BE SURE TO REC THIS IN ORDER TO KEEP IT AT THE TOP OF THE FANPOST SECTION
Good luck to everyone.
Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.

#winning might be played out
but variations of #winning are still funny. for instance, #mattrichwinning is a knee slapper. to Matt, well played sir.
may i also add that “played out” is played out.
Not after Pitt totally messed up my bracket……..

Big (little) East
I had Pitt out early, most over-rated team this year imo…

You know what really grinds my gears???
That Utah State(my #1 sleeper) is a #12 seed eventhough they were ranked 17th in the coaches poll and almost every other poll last Monday. They have to face Kansas State who as been one of my favorite teams all year led by Pullen…what do it do??
Kenny Powers is back!
Utah State didn't beat anybody all year
as in ZERO tourney teams. They’re lucky to be a 12.

"As the governor of Louisiana once said, the only way Chris Kelsay can lose his job is if he got caught in bed with a dead girl or a live boy."
They were ranked #17th in the nation! For them to be a 12 seed means they are viewed in the 48 in the nation rank..that’s rediculous the tournement commitee is a joke Utah State a #12, VT and Colorado not making it, Florida as a #2, etc.

I have ’Cuse making it as far as the elite eight before Kentucky beats ’em, I think if Joseph can get going and Jackson can keep chucking up double doubles, they can make a run, the question is Scoop, please let it be good Scoop for the Tourney.

I really doubt the johnnies can get past Pitt without DJ Kennedy. He did all of the little things losing him hurts a lot i still have them winning at least 2 games though. I have them in the elite eight but i don’t think they can beat Pitt again especially without DJ. I hope they do because it would be awesome around campus if they make it that far.

I don't think individual games should take away what was accomplished all season
And it’s not like the BE was loaded with “great” teams all year. Just a whole bunch of good and very good teams. As we’ve seen all year, anybody can beat anybody.
As bad as the conference’s performance has been this weekend, it’s not like some other conference is going nuts. The 8 teams who have advanced are from the Mountain West (2), SEC (2), Big 10, Atlantic 10, Horizon and Big East.

"As the governor of Louisiana once said, the only way Chris Kelsay can lose his job is if he got caught in bed with a dead girl or a live boy."
i dont think the big east
is necessarily bad, just thats its performance in the tourney has been pretty bad so far. of course uconn could still win this, but cuse losing to an 11 seed and nd losing to a 10 seed is at least, a little embarrassing. that being said, were they the best conference in the regular season? of course. no other conference had the depth they had, but i think i saw something on espn about how a lot of these big east teams hit bad injuries at terrible times. so a hard grueling season coupled with injuries will surely spell doom for even the best teams.
my comment was more along the lines that i thought the big east would have a better showing.

FSU was the better team that night......
They played great defense which is their calling card, and ND shot 4-25 from the 3 pt line, it sucked, but not embarrassing. As per ‘Cuse losing to an 11 seed….um Marquette is in the same conference, they’re familiar with each other and Marquette (is a darn good 11 seed) did beat them in the regular season. I mean, when you got a 1/6th of the entire field being one conference, they’re not all going to advance, and some will knock each other out.

Whatever
Clearly the “best conference in America” can only get 2 teams to the sweet 16 out of 11 getting in speaks volumes.
Furthermore those 2 teams made the sweet 16 by default by beating 2 other Big East teams.
Only calling it like I see it. They might have the most “quantity” of decent teams, but they are obviously not “elite”.

Their depth makes them the best conference in the nation. Obviously, they may not have an elite team – though UConn is kind of on a tear. (Bastards.)

I think that is the biggest factor going into determinning who will do well.
Being on a tear before the tourney does wonders. Which is why Im riding UCONN to the final four.

Oh, and BTW I called the Syracuse and Pitt losses pretty accurately. I had SU losing to Xavier and not making the Sweet 16 and Pitt out in the Sweet 16.

HAHAHA
That’s not accurate at all. Picking one team to lose to a team that they didn’t even play against and another to lose later on is not pretty accurate at all.
I love the argument that a conference isn’t the best simply because there’s only two teams in the Sweet 16. All season, it was obvious the BE lacked an elite team and was packed with very good and good teams.
I guess you’re a Big 10 follower….they aren’t exactly having a great Tourney either. Ohio State is the best team in the country, but that doesn’t say anything about the strength of that conference.
~K
"As the governor of Louisiana once said, the only way Chris Kelsay can lose his job is if he got caught in bed with a dead girl or a live boy."
I didn’t say the Big Ten was the best conference. I was just referring to how over-rated the Big East has been. Actually in college bball I am an A-10 fan more than anything, I went to undergrad at the University of Dayton (hey they won the NIT last year!). I think the Big 10 is under rated. While Purdue had a poor showing, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Ohio State haven’t looked too bad to say the least. The only Big East team I am impressed with is UCONN. Pitt I am always underwhelmed by it seems… Hell the flyers beat them 2 years in a row!

So if Purdue loses they “had a poor showing” but Syracuse loses because the BE stinks? :-)

If were gloating, that Cuse lost was called by me, losing to Marquette.
Then again, my other regions are a disaster.
