Lesser Known Bills Player of the Day

WR #85 Chris Burkett

Drafted in the 2nd Round out of Jackson St in the 1985 draft, the 6-4 Burkett caught 21 passes in his first season with the Bills.  Two years later he had 56 receptions in just 12 games and it seemed as if he would be a great complement to Andre Reed for years to come.  However, in the 89 season after a number of disputes in the Bills locker room, the Bills had a new nickname, the Bickering Bills. Angry after being benched and a feud with star QB Jim Kelly finally ended his Bills career. This seemingly promising WR was cut at his request only to be snatched up by the lowly New York Jets
