Among the lengthy list of the 2011 NFL Draft's top defensive linemen reportedly meeting with the Buffalo Bills pre-draft, one name had been notably missing from the list for quite some time: Alabama junior Marcell Dareus. That has changed today, as Jason La Canfora of NFL.com reports that Dareus is set to visit One Bills Drive this week.
According to the report, Dareus also has visits set up with six more teams picking in the Top 10, including the two teams that pick ahead of Buffalo, the Carolina Panthers and the Denver Broncos.
Dareus is as safe a bet as you can find this year. He's had no issues off the field, is extremely talented and productive on it, and his athleticism and versatility make him a strong fit for any defense a team runs. That will make him a hot commodity, as most teams - unless already loaded at defensive tackle - will be looking closely at Dareus.
Other defensive linemen scheduled to visit the Bills include Nick Fairley, Da'Quan Bowers and Cameron Jordan.
