Last month I started a monthly post about some of Mr. Nix's most memorable Quips with a poll attached. With little surprise the winner with 57% of the vote was the proverbial "Show me the baby" Quote. Of coarse I had to include that one in the first month. Coming in a distant second was the remark about the run deffense, "If we're ever gonna win, we gotta fix it". Proving that we here at Rumblings hate our non run stuffing defense. I enjoyed the comments, and discussion so lets do it again!!
This month I dug up some more confident(arrogant), plain(simple), and pointed(obvious) quips for your enjoyment. Remember to read them in his warm southern drawlllll(backwards hick speak). Then vote, and tell me which ones you like or hate in the comments.
Have fun, and may the best quip win.
(concerning the S. Merriman signing) "people said when we picked him up on waivers, he'll never play a down there, he will not sign with Buffalo, he doesn't like Buffalo, you can't sign him. But we did." (12 votes)
(relating to the quality of the Bills head coach position) "Trust me, it's a good job. Don't ever think you can't fill coaching jobs, even if they're bad. Oakland gets a lot of calls. Don't say I said that." (52 votes)
(responding to the negative press Tom Modrak gets) "He takes a lot of shots, because he's the last one standing. Everybody else is gone. So he's an easy target. But I dont pay any attention to the fans or what people write about that." (5 votes)
(addressing the culture of losing) "I don't care wether you want to admit it or not, but losing gets to be a habit and it gets to be something you accept and we're not going to do that." (22 votes)
(regarding not drafting for needs) "You read all the things we need: We would like to fill a need, but if we can't, we want to make sure we dont compound the problem by putting another one in that position that cant play." (33 votes)
