I Maybe Wrong, But I Doubt it.
I can't get that T-mobie commercial with Charles Barkley out of my head. But the truth is, every draft I get a feeling about a guy (usually a QB) in the draft rather its a player I really like(last year Colt McCoy even if he is 6-1)or really don't like (Tim Tebow still wish him the best), depending on where he went (Let me mention that I've seen these guys play it's not just a blind hunch). I've been wrong before, for example I thought Joey Harrington would be a good QB and I was wrong. However, this year I keep having a feeling that Greg McElroy from Alabama is that guy. He's rated around the 10th best QB in the draft and might not be drafted until after the 5th round, but after watching the Senior Bowl, I started to like this kid. I even liked that he said he's better prepared for the NFL than Cam Newton.
I don't care about his Wonderlic score that much, he's 6-2 about 222, but I don't care about his size that much the Senior Bowl he looked like a man that knew what to do with the ball, and he could move in the pocket and still made a few plays. The same could be said for Ponder as well but, I've just gotta a feeling about McElroy He shown he can play on a big stage in the SEC and puts the ball where WR's can gain yards after the catch. I maybe wrong, but I doubt it. I'm not saying he's the next Tom Brady, but I think we'll hear his name in the years to come.
Just a side note: Frank Reich, was the best backup ever in case you might be thinking,"this guy is a backup at best" maybe he's the next Reich?
Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.

I’m all for getting the next Frank Reich……..provided we have the next Jim Kelly in place of course.

I have that same feeling...
but for me that best QB in the draft that will end up having the best career is Christian Ponder. Like you said it’s just a feeling.
He's a sleeper
Excelled in the best conference, Rhodes scholor finalist, great football pedigree….. I could go on. If he’s there in round 4, I’d call it a steal!
sorry but
fitz at this point of his career looks to be better than a backup Qb. love some of the chances he gives us to win. Put tools around him let the team gel. They will improve. 1 lineman and 1 TE who can do their job and time to gel and this offense will be off to a good start
I have to reserve judgement on that, it was one year, and an average to good one at that.

agree
even though stats weren’t highly superior to the previous year we were in 1st year of an offense and overall play selection was better, there were better performances and third down completions never looked better. I understand your comment and I am placing a little hope into this statement but in 10 yrs I have never had more in this team even when we went 5-1 with edwards? I think that is correct. go bills. No question that some of those passes that were great completions could have been picked but they weren’t and the better Qb’s are better because the majority of the time they make those passes. Til next season, whenever it maybe.
I may be, I may be, I may be wrong...
Im totally with ya on drafting Greg Mcelroy… Im certain he could be a great backup, and possibly a good starter. If we dont draft Mallett, Locker or trade for Tebow he is the next best option in my opinion. Not a big fan of Kapernick nor Gabbert and Newton… I dislike Dalton and have no faith at all in Tyrod Taylor. Draft Mcelroy, im totally down with that.
I still remember flying paper airplanes at One Bills Drive during a game against the Redskins during the strike year... my first Bills game.
I own a Rob Johnson signed jersey, so with that in mind if i like the Bills QB just expect him to fall on a football and break his ribs.

I have been feeling the same hunch about him to, not saying he will be an All-Pro but for some reason he reminds me of Brady when he was in college, I don’t know why. I like the fact he played in the SEC and has won big time there and seems like he can make those quick decisions that all NFL quaterbacks have to make. Nothing is proto-typical about him and maybe that’s good.
Charles Barkley is a TOOL
