Household Names, Sleepers in the Draft, Potential Long Time Future.

Casey Mathews by name recognition alone could sell tickets. Casey Mathews can play the game. A very smart and instinctive player. The blood lines are undeniable where every member of this family tree has been a contributor and there is no reason why this kid shouldn't be recognized not only by his name but by his performance. We have talked about wanting to get bigger and stronger yet we discuss the size of Von Miller as not a concern when penciling him atop every draft board across the NFL. Why has Casey Mathews been ignored by most?

You tube will never show video of failures of any prospect. That's up for discussion but the argument is "What have you done for me lately" Casey Mathews has helped the Oregon Ducks advance to this years National Championship Game, and helped make it an exciting one.

Background: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casey_Matthews

Compare his background to any NFL player not named Mathews and come up with a list of players that would compare. My suggestion would be don't bother because this family is second to no-one.

Biography: http://www.goducks.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=500&ATCLID=1149796

What more could you want, he is a senior, he has progressed his game every year in college. Majored in Economics, not Sports Equipment. All around blue collar Buffalo Bills type of player.

Opinion: One that is hard to argue, mostly his own, with some accomplishments and recognition. I would read this one. http://special.registerguard.com/csp/cms/sites/web/sports/25619196-41/matthews-oregon-ducks-casey-football.csp

Scouting Report: You make the call.

That means he will be drafted in the fourth or fifth round, but be around the NFL a lot longer than many players drafted before him.

Personally, I would wait that long, and I don't believe many teams would argue. We should all want this kid, and if there is a trade down, he has to rank up there with any extra pick we could get. I believe we have an early fourth round pick but honestly I don't believe he will be there when we pick. Trading down and grabbing an extra second or third round pick in my opinion would make Casey Mathews a non reach in the late second or early third round. Would love the thoughts from you guys, but once again, let's not hang our hats on his size, he is young, and has opportunity to grow into that household name, the sleeper in the draft and a potential long time future along side Poz for the future of this team. Nothing has been advertised, pushed or mediated on any network, web site, or other avenue regarding this kid and that IMO is a shame. Small Yes, IMPACT and FUTURE definately for Casey Mathews.

Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.
