I have been avidly following the NFL Draft for years, so here is my first Bills mock draft.
Round 1) Pick 3- Von Miller (DE/OLB)- I think that the first two picks will be Dareus and Newton, leaving this pick between Miller and Peterson. Much as I love Peterson, the Bills coaching staff worked with Miller during the senior bowl and seemed to be very impressed with him. Miller would bring our pass rush to a new level, and we would now be one good d-linemen from having at least a solid front 7.
Round 2) The Bills will trade this pick along with others (I do not know what would be needed) to trade into the end of the first round. There, they will pick Gabe Carimi (Offensive Tackle) from Wisconsin. He brings that mean, big element that Gailey wants from his offensive line. A line with Carimi as right tackle, Levitre as left guard, Hang as center, Wood as right guard, and Bell as Left Tackle would be pretty impressive. Carimi has visited Orchard Park, and I think he will be a great addition.
For the rest of the draft the Bills will pick BPA, with a d-linemen, tight end, cornerback, and linebacker in the mix. Some possibilities are Kelvin Sheppard, Robert Sands, D.J Williams, Lawrence Guy, Cheta Ozougwu, and Chris Rucker.
I know a lot of you will be upset about the lack of a QB, but I think that the Bills are smoke screening and will wait until next year to draft a QB.
