Unexpected Picks
I'm thinking of last year's draft when Tyson Alualu was drafted much earlier than anticipated.... and Jimmy Clausen fell an entire round. I was curious to hear which prospects Rumblers think might end up going signficantly earlier or later than the general media is predicting.
For my two cents, I'd throw Stephen Paea and someone who could go 15-20 spots higher than most draft gurus have him projected and see Nate Solder as someone who could slip into the mid-2nd round.
Any thoughts?
Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.

Some QB's will rise
I expect Ponder in the first and Kaepernick or Dalton in the 2nd. OBD might pounce on one of them.
I like to believe this has more to do with the Bills players feeling like they can be something special. They started a year 0-8 and finished 4-4 while taking playoff and championship game bound teams to OT and 3 pt nail biters. All this with one year under a new coach and with a young roster. Im sure they can feel what they are capable of. -poz
i see a couple tackles
That could go higher than expected

thinking of Joe Barksdale?
I can see him going earlier than projected (which seems to be 3rd or 4th rd)
Carimi
I’m hoping Gabe Carimi will fall to us in the second. I highly doubt it will happen with New England in front of us in the second but fingers crossed.

QBs will be the “big” slide position. Every year it seems that at least one of the guys projected in the top 10-15 slides hard. Even more so in “weak” years for drafts. If locker starts to slip the “run” on QBs wouldn’t start until the early-mid 20s. I could still see a team trading up to secure “their guy” but my money is on the QBs providing the guy sliding down the charts.
I can see Newton and Gabbert going in the top 10 then locker starting to slip down the charts more than most might expect.
Jimmy Smith
I could see him going in the early 1st to Detroit and I’d agree that Solder could slide

Jimmy Smith has a great potential to be a high quality CB in the NFL. Whoever drafts him will be very pleased.

bowers
Without a CBA in place anyone who picks up Daquan Bowers must wait
Till a new CBA is finalized before team doctors can make repairs to a
Possable microfactured knee of Bowers.

Interesting, I hadn’t thought of that.

Good call, rec'd......Bowers was a lock for the top 5....now I wouldn't doubt he slips to the 15-20 range
Anyone but Cam Newton at #3. Preferably Peterson, Dareus, or Miller in that order…Unfortunately, we need all three.
If you ask a question you don't want an answer to, expect an answer you don't want to hear.
But is that a "suprise pick"
Bowers is being mocked around #20 in almost every media mock. I’d say it’s now more of a surprise if he goes top 10 – if he is healthy he will be a steal for some team.

true.....today, not so much a Draft Day surprise if he goes around 20....never would have thought that two months ago

Tyron Smith could fall. I see a Bruce Campbell like future for him.

Unlike Bruce Campbell, Tyron Smith has great tape. He’s a lock for the Top 15.

Tyron Smith has great tape.
So that’s what it takes to be a top 15. /sarcasm. Also this line is a TWSS candidate.
He could be picked anywhere. Just my two cents worth of opinion, which is what the author asked for.
Many have him as the top OT in the draft. Others do not. Lots of opinions. There are three others I think have a good chance to be picked ahead of him.
Tomorrow, and the following days, will be so much fun. Heck next 24 hrs will be a blast too.

alualu pick : kerrigan, i bet he comes off the board before bowers and around a dozen picks sooner than expected
clausen slide: gabbert. not saying hell drop all the way to the mid second, just that i wont be shocked if he slides down to the 8-12 range
also
guy who comes out of left field and gets selected in the late first/early second: nate irving.
now that's a prediction...
i’ll give you a lot of credit if that comes through
Rudolph
will go in the top 25 picks or so – despite his injury.

Agreed.
I could envision a few teams in the last quarter of the 1st round picking him, or trading their picks to a team that moves up to draft him.
