Around SBN: L'Equipe Claims He's Coming To Chelsea On Five Year Deal

My picks for Round 4 & 5

I'd love to see Nix pull the trigger next on big Marcus Canon.  This guy reminds me of Loadhoalt, a huge massive mauler that could be our man at RT for the next 10years!  Spiller could easily hide between his legs!  At the top of the 4th round he would seem like a steal! I did hear a rumor about an injury? Does anyone know about this?

Then with our second pick in the 4th I'd go with Luke Stocker, a big TE that can be a every down TE, very good inside blocker with very good hands.  He's not going to get many YACs but he's a great asset on the line and he's a huge target with solid hands.

Then in Round 5 I'd love to see our commander in chief take the big Robert Sands (s) a 6'4" 217lbs Safety known for his run stuffing abilities

Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.

Good stuff

Really wanted Rodulph, Ayers, or Kaep though. (off point, I know, just still bummed) Nix said he would take a QB though, Who’s left anyway? besides FA?

Stanzi and McElroy I think

Being a Bills fan the last decade is a lot like being a man with E.D....sometimes you get excited too soon just be disappointed in the end, and other times...you just don't get excited at all

I'd be happy with Cannon too...

he would be a great addition to the team. He has been diagnosed with a treatable form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. It is not cancer, but it does require chemotherapy for 12-24 weeks to treat. After this, all things successful, he should be fine.

I did hear a rumor about an injury? Does anyone know about this?

as stated, hes got lymphoma. hes gonna have some non-football things to deal with for the time being

Cannon will continue to fall till the 5th or 6th rounds

Mims is almost as big, played LT in college and is healthy with quick feet and a willingness to block, he might be a better choice in the 5th.

I was checking out the OT earlier and noticed Cannon

Do you think the league is ready for 350lb offensive tackles. We do need to improve our run blocking but can the kid pass protect. He will see speed in the NFL that some could think didn’t exist. I like your thought, there was a couple other ones that were like 6’8" and 320 – 330. I know we like them big on the ends of the line, just not sure who is who. There was Brewer from Indiana, I believe he was mentioned as a possible mid rounder.

I thought Langston Walker was a fine right tackle

Until that stupid no-huddle business and the awful left tackle switch.

Fourth round seems like a great place to find a tough, if not athletically superior right tackle…

agreed

Walker was a solid RT and unfortunately OBD screwed it up!

Jason Peters and Flozell Adams come to mind as a couple LTs that were/are listed around 240.

Cannon

Mayout was saying Cannon would probably be a better fit inside at guard.

With the first 4th rounder

I would like to go either Acho or DJ Williams. Both positions of need, both strong character guys.

stay with D

I like the offensive lineman pick but i would like to see the team continue with the defense and draft sam acho with their 1st 4th and casey matthews with the 2nd 4th. 5th, 6th, and both 7th’s can go to all offense. stay away from qb

by koozyburger on Apr 30, 2011 2:47 AM EDT reply actions

Acho/mathews could work too!

I agree, don’t waste a pick on a QB – go sign Thigpen instead and bring in an undrafted kid

So Far...

I like the draft. I think Sheppard went a bit too high (esp with Sturdivant still on the board in the 4th), but I can’t question the priorities. I had DE/LB/CB in my own mind, although I would have selected in a different order.

As for today, I like:

Boling (OG)
Ballard (DE/DT)
Acho (OLB)
Cannon (OG/OT)
Ziemba (OG/OT)
Love (OG)
Hairston (OT)
Sash (SS)
Powe (NT)
Beal (OLB)
Herzlich (ILB/OLB)
Mohamed (ILB)
Thornton (DE/DT)
Wujciak (ILB)
TJ Yates (QB)

Getting 2-3 of those guys today would be a really nice boost. Would love to get 4 starters and 6-7 contributors out of this draft.

I'd be happier with...

4A Sam Acho, DE
4B Luke Stocker, TE
5 Tyrod Taylor, QB

Stocker has been a decent TE at Tennessee and hopefully he can develop into the next Jason Witten. Taylor is as elusive as Michael Vick. He has a decent arm. Just the kind of player Gailey likes to work with at the QB position.

The best thing to happen would be

For last years class to contribute at a high level along with years group, that would be like two drafts in one. Not to mention a huge upgrade all the way around.

i wouldn’t mind seeing Cannon in a bills jersey, if he is healthy..Stocker would be a good pick-up. I would go Cannon and Stocker in the fourth. Then if Clint Boling is there in the fifth i would be all over that. I think we could plug him in and move Wood to center. Our line would then be set outside of Lt. Herzlic in he sixth i would def do..then pass rusher in the seventh. i still want the Bills to pick up owen marecic though.
