Rumblers, Let's Make a Mockery of Ourselves
Browsing around other team's sites on this great (sb)nation of ours, I've noticed a lot of other blogs have been running posts about their community mock drafts. Essentially, commenters get the keys to the war room of one NFL team, and sweet, sweet, mocking commences. With one of the most committed communities around, I thought it would be fun for us to get in on the action.
Now, as Rumblers, we are blessed with the good fortune of an editor who is committed to churning out several original stories per day. That said, there's no reason we can't just do this in the fanposts section.
Ideally, there are 32 of us interested enough to make it happen, I also think it will be more fun that way. However, if only 16, or even 10 want to do it, that will work too; each commenter would just have to pick multiple times.
Also, each commenter turnt GM will write a blurb about their rationale when picking. This could be anywhere from a quick paragraph to entire post, if you feel so inclined. A big thought behind this experiment is to extend the scope of the draft from our (as fans) perspective beyond just the Bills at slot 3. The more discussion the better.
I'd like to get this going by Friday, as time is at a premium; but before I get into too much detail, post below or message me if you are interested.
Thanks!
Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.

Cool idea
Throw me down for the Broncos, being in Denver I think they’re the team I know most about outside the Bills.
The 2011 Colorado Rockies - Starring Johnny Herrera as THE ANSWER
Burgundy Wave - SBnation's Colorado Rapids site
Mountain roads, take me home, to the place where I belong...
Crystal Palace FC - Eternally a point from relegation (._. )
I can take my hand at being the Vikings GM…until I’m dead or you find someone better.

im in buffalo if possible
where oh where has aaron maybin gone oh where can he be
was picked so high and not one has seen oh where can maybin be
seriously where the hell is he ?
Im in... you guys just tell me what team you want me to be.
I could care less… though honestly if I had my choice it would (other than the bills) the Ravens. (ive had a soft spot for them since they drafted my old freind Kyle Boller)
I still remember flying paper airplanes at One Bills Drive during a game against the Redskins during the strike year... my first Bills game.
I own a Rob Johnson signed jersey, so with that in mind if i like the Bills QB just expect him to fall on a football and break his ribs.

I am about thirty minutes from Cleveland, so I would be up for taking the Browns.
I like to believe this has more to do with the Bills players feeling like they can be something special. They started a year 0-8 and finished 4-4 while taking playoff and championship game bound teams to OT and 3 pt nail biters. All this with one year under a new coach and with a young roster. Im sure they can feel what they are capable of. -poz

just say who, but I will take one for the team and cover the Cowboys.
or the Texans, being from the south and all.
I look forward to getting some insight as to how some of the other teams would pick, from a fan prospective.

That leaves 12 more spots, and 19 teams to choose from. Also, if we fill up, I’ll start an alternates list, as there may be people who drop out/don’t end up posting anything. I’ll end this list into the post when I’m home tonight, and not on a remote connection.
I’m in for whatever team

perkispower – i’m finished if you want me to do Carolina. I drafted up a fanpost so let me know if a) I have them and b) how you want to distribute it. I can post it with a specific title if that works….?

You have Carolina. You can just do a fan post, this way it will inspire others to put some thought into their explanation posts, and get more discourse going.
However, to avoid confusion, I am going to have you hold off posting until I get a chance to lay out the format in another post later tonight.
After that, J2 is on the clock!
sounds good – i’ll check in periodically tonight but chances are it’ll be in the morning

Although I hate the Bears,
I’ll do Chicago since it’s were I’m currently living, and all I hear about in regards to football.

If you are needing a last minute sub (alternate) I’ll jump in. Would like at least an hour prep time if selected.

I’m gonna have to do right by the Brownies, they have had worse luck than Buffalo over the years.

All the teams are claimed at this point, but I’ll put you down as an alternate if some one doesnt show up with a pick. Here is the fanpost with all the info.
