First, I want to say that I am really happy with our 2011 Draft, and I am excited about the future of the team under Coach Gailey. I think we are really starting to acquire some good young talent, and its going to pay off in the future.
I noticed that we have lined up some solid young talent on the defensive line, including the players we drafted last year. So, if Troup steps up this year at nose, and if our new rookie Jasper (378 lbs and athletic!) has what it takes to contribute, then we might have a "log jam" at the nose tackle position. Dareus is going to be a monster, and I think Carrington is going to be solid, and even though I really like the 3-4 defense, I wish the Bills had more spots on the D-Line so that more of these guys could play at the same time.
Anyway, I was if Kyle Williams can play Defensive End effectively? Does anybody know? "Meatball" is a force on the D-Line, and I think he is good enough to play any position across the line. It would be awesome if Williams could bump to end, and then Troup and Jasper could rotate at nose with Dareus at the other end. Hmmm, I am just thinking out loud right now. I am just excited by what our future D-Line rotation is going to look like. And regardless of who starts we should be able to keep really good players on the field on every play.
Also, our short yardage D-Line is going to rock! How does everyone else see our D-Line rotation next year and in the future?
