Kelvin Sheppard - Let's vote

A few days ago I posted a fanpost suggesting that we come-up with Nicknames for our new rookies. I've sifted through the 46 comments to my post to tabulate the options that were suggested.

In order not to screw the results, I will go one player at a time. So let's look at our third rounder, Kelvin Sheppard

I've skipped Aaron Williams because (a) I don't really know him much, haven't watched him play much and haven't really read anything on him that might give me an idea of a good nickname for him. Shepp on the other hand is someone I sort of scouted last year and I've read quite a bit on the kid. He is a great leader on the field and finding an appropriate nickname for him is quite easy. Most rumblers seem to be in agreement, this kid is a great leader of men.

So without further ado, lets vote:

Shepp has done said he was going to fire up The Doc.

You know meatball will be into that. So I cant see any reason why Poz will not be wanting to get back to OBD and get in on that action. He has got to be thinking he will finally be able to have a free lane to run to the ball.

There is no way Poz dosent have a breakout year this year.

Please base your arguments in provable facts instead of pulling stuff out of your rear. -CanadianBillsFan- This is why talk is cheap because the supply always exceeds the demand.

I really want POZ resigned, I really don’t want to loose this guy. Nix, I’m watching you… You said when you accepted the GM job that you believed in retaining players, rewarding them at the end of their rookie contracts when they deserve it – Well Poz definitely deserves it. He’s a great instinctive Linebacker that tackles well and is at his best when pressuring the QB or stuffing the run. I’ll admit that he needs to work on his coverage skills but I think year 2 in this new hybrid 3-4 will be huge for him.

lol I am for one think he has not earned a nick name yet even though I am willing to already nick name dareus the doctor. Nicknames are earned in my book.

nicknames are earned, not bestowed via polls

Its the main reason the nickname people use for Kyle “no nickname needed” Williams is so stupid. No one sat around and voted on Thurmel…and it was cool. I suggest dropping this entire endeavor. Let the guys earn a nickname and then only if they’re the sort of guy who is nickname appropriate.

It can always get worse. Let me tell you how.
