Why no negotiations?

Why do the players seem content to not try to negotiate?

I could be very wrong here, but all I read is how the owners and the commish want to get to the negotiation table.  I don't recall any similar comments from any player or the legal team that is working with them.  I agree with the players regarding "you want more off the top, show us the books", but I also think some of this is ridiculous.  It's not like they're getting $5000 a year to play with leather helmets.  Everyone one of them is making more than most of us, even the UDFA who may only get to go training camp.  Many players showed up at their training facilities on the day the lockout was lifted.  Well, let's pick a date and a venue and show up at the table.  Both sides have shown how bull-headed they can be.  Now, let's get this resolved and play some football.

Brian/Matt, you seem to have contact with players.  Can you find out from George Wilson or others why nothing is happening on the players' side?
