Good question. It was mentioned in the Demetrius Bell story that many of the editors, writers, etc. have been scarce on the board. I am, for sure, one of them. So here's a short note to Rumbler Nation about why.
My family and I are in the middle of a move from Georgia to Virginia. We'll spend a year in Virginia before heading to our next Army assignment, likely back in Georgia or maybe Texas. I've been spending most of my time closing down shop at my old job, and getting ready to move.
The military is great (stable job with great pay and benefits), but it can shelter us at times. I've never paid for health care or medicine, never worried about unemployment, and always had a doctor and a dentist for myself and my family. This is also the first time we haven't lived on a military post. The home rental market isn't that hard to figure out, but it is nerve racking a little, since until we sign, we don't have the house. In the Army, getting housing on post is easy. I've also never paid for water, electricity, or trash. So this should be fun!
Once we get settled in, I'll be back on the site regularly. I don't want to pin myself down, but it should be mid-August-ish. Until then, take care!
